A common rationalisation for Eternal Conscious Torment (ECT) is that the punishment for crimes against God must be eternal because God is eternal.

By this logic, a crime against a 100-year-old should be punished with a 100-year prison sentence, and stealing a baby's rattle should carry a sentence of no more than twelve months.

Do Infernalists believe this and, if not, why not. Is it because there's something wrong with the logic?

Let's be spiritual Fonzies here and keep it cool.

Do you have any specific examples or are you just into vague accusations?

What's the Logic in punishing an atheist with annhilation? It's what they believe and look for already.
Rewarding atheists with annhilation only proves to them they were right.

First you show them they were wrong by showing them what eternal life in paradise would be like then you tell them "We asked you to come but you refused the invitation." and poof they're gone. That seems punishment enough to me.

Interesting.
What Scripture supports this notion of "showing the unsaved what eternal life in paradise would be like"?

I suspect this passage has been forcibly removed from some bibles.
