Money is going to Ukraine for border security for ongoing war with Russia for one.
I'm talking about money sent to South and Central American nations.

The trail was renamed after Obama back in 2018. There is maintenance that has to be done to maintain the trail just like any trail. This trail begins with an asphalt parking area, the trail itself is 6ft wide and also asphalt except where it's a wooden bridge. The vegetation is kept cut down along the path, good to be able to spot snakes. Signs become weathered and must be replaced. Asphalt cracks and eventually must be maintained. And not everyone is good about not leaving trash so someone has to be responsible for keeping the trail clean.
I imagine that these monies are for maintenance and repairs and possibly to be budgeted over several years. I googled to see what was what.
Can you tell me how many seasons/years this money is supposed to last? It's a 3.8 mile trail. I'm assuming it's for walking and hiking....not driving.
We're talking about nearly million per mile. What exactly do you think happened there in a span of 5 years....especially when one year everyone stayed home?
If you think that money is going towards picking up litter....sign repair....and filling in cracks.....
I've got a talking horse you might be interested in buying.
1 would be my guess. Can you tell me how many seasons/years this money is supposed to last?
But we don't know and many times budgeted money has to last more than one year.1 would be my guess.
Per this article, the money is to be used for a 4.5 mile extension of the current trail, that it has already been extended 2.2 miles (so is now 6 miles long). "The federal money, then, would go toward yet another extension — this one covering the 4.5 miles from Waldrop Road east to Martin Luther King Jr. High School. From there it would join up with another piece of existing trail that stretches all the way to the Arabia Mountain PATH in Stonecrest. On the opposite side of the trail, the plan is to connect to other existing projects that will ultimately tie into the Atlanta Beltline."It's a 3.8 mile trail. So, no, the money is not "going towards picking up litter....sign repair....and filling in cracks....." but will be used to improve the trail and improve the usability for those walking it.
I'm not "cheering" for anything here, I'm merely filling in contest into why the money was authorized.Whatever. I don't think that's a federal issue.
We're talking about a government that has committed to destroying the economy and environment. You're cheering for a hiking trail.
Capital projects generally are budgeted and appropriated over years. But we don't know and many times budgeted money has to last more than one year.
Whatever. I don't think that's a federal issue.
....so far, you have offered cutting foreign aid to Central America ($300 million+ 2021) and money for extending a trail. What other spending should be cut in a 6.8 Trillion dollar Federal budget?
