Well, the second panel seems suitable. He was, apparently, an astronaut at one point.Several GOP sources told CNN that the House Republican Steering Committee, controlled by Speaker Kevin McCarthy and his top allies, tapped Santos to serve on two House panels: the Committee on Small Business and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.
oh wowOoooh man! Imagine if this one is true.
I cannot imagine how it'll be handled.
Theres nothing he can do so bad that R's will toss him, other than start voting with D's.Ooooh man! Imagine if this one is true.

If he can read, he can protest himself before drag-queen story hour at the library! Here is a clearer picture of him:

That is definitely the same person. That chin, smile...it's just all the same I think.
Huh
EDIT: Just noticed it's also the same dress as in the first picture..
I think he got it backwards, my understanding is that the Fields Medal was awarded to Santos/Devolder (whichever is his actual last name) for his imaginary work with numbers. Though maybe it was his imaginary work with imaginary numbers.Congressman Bill Foster

I'm thrilled to be joined on the Science Committee by my Republican colleague Dr. George Santos, winner of not only the Nobel Prize, but also the Fields Medal - the top prize in Mathematics - for his groundbreaking work with imaginary numbers.
(as for Foster: During his 22 years at Fermilab, he participated in several projects, including the design of equipment and data analysis software for the CDF Detector, which were used in the discovery of the top quark, and the management of the design and construction of a 3 km Anti-Proton Recycler Ring for the Main Injector")

Santos has issued amended filings that, on the face of them, state that he did not personally lend himself all that money, leaving the actual source murky and probably illegal.
But in two of the new filings with the Federal Election Commission, boxes indicating that loans of $500,000 and $125,000 had come from personal funds were unmarked.
“It could be that this is the single sloppiest bookkeeping of any candidate that we’ve ever seen,” Libowitz said. But he said if Santos didn’t provide the money for the loans, it raises questions about whether it came from a prohibited source.
While candidates can contribute – or lend – an unlimited amount of their own funds to their campaigns, it is illegal to accept a six-figure contribution from another person. It also is against the law for a corporation to donate a sum of any size directly to a congressional candidate.
In the letter sent to the House Committee, Mr Myers alleges that he was alone with Mr Santos in his office on 25 January when the congressman invited him to karaoke and touched his groin; the congressman also allegedly asked if Mr Myers had an account on Grindr, a popular queer dating app.
Washington — A group of House Democrats on Thursday filed a resolution seeking to expel embattled New York's Republican Rep. George Santos from Congress, as new details emerge about federal scrutiny into his work for a company accused of running a Ponzi scheme.

Let’s see whose willing to go on record that he should remain.
