But not at the same time. Alinsky died in 1972 when Obama was all of eleven years old. He didn't even get to Chicago until 13 years after Alinksky died.

I'm sure they had to pay some fees to someone to get them to the US border, but it would be the guide who coordinates with the drug cartels for safe passage, not the individual migrants. The chances that any of the migrants that were sent to Martha's Vineyard actually paid drug lords and carried drugs into the US is just about nil.

I think you meant smuggled. Human smugglers, for the most part, are not a part of drug cartels and they involve the voluntary intent of the migrant to help get them across the border.

Your point? I was in high school when Alinsky died and I had never heard of him at that time. I was introduced to 'Rules For Radicals' in 1975 0r 1976 in St. Louis by people who very much liked the book. One does not need to meet a person to be influenced by him. Sometimes a book will do. Sometimes friends and associates assist in that.

I bought the book. There was considerable material in it that even at the time I thought was just improper to use against people. But that was his point. Being radical is to not play by the same old rules. You might want to read the book to see what you think.

Until now, little has been known about the woman whom migrants said identified herself only by her first name, “Perla,” when she solicited them to join the flights. A person briefed on the San Antonio sheriff’s office investigation into the matter told The New York Times that the person being looked at in connection with the operation is a woman named Perla Huerta.

Ms. Huerta, a former combat medic and counterintelligence agent, was discharged in August after two decades in the U.S. Army that included several deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, according to military records.

A Venezuelan migrant who was working with Ms. Huerta to recruit migrants confirmed her identity, and a migrant in San Antonio whom Ms. Huerta had unsuccessfully sought to sign up identified a photo of her in an interview with The Times. Several of the migrants on Martha’s Vineyard photographed her during the recruitment process in San Antonio, according to Rachel Self, a lawyer representing the migrants. Lawyers working with them were able to match those photos with others online and in social media belonging to a woman named Perla Huerta.

And the Bexar County Sheriff has opened a criminal investigation into the hoax. Likely, it will be that one, and not DeSantis, who gets nailed unless she can show that DeSantis ordered the crime.
