SO, he was authorized to do so. He is not to benefit them. He is to benefit the citizens of Florida. If you think that taking people who were illieagly transported to his state and dump on him and him leagly transporting them to a state that said they wanted them is a problem then it is not Him that has the problem. They were not harmed in any way.
They were never in his state. He transported them from TX to Martha”s Vineyard. How is that his responsibility?

Then he is not to blame. so what is your point. you seem to be whining about a problem and I am not sure what you are complaining about.

My point is WHY is it OK for the Gov of FL to use his taxpayer’s money to transport immigrants, never in his state, from TX to MA?

I don't think 'whining' is an appropriate term. People are pointing out that DeSantis has tried to make a political point by using people as pawns in his political game. Whatever you think about immigration policy and whatever side of the political fence you reside, I would have thought it would be reasonably straightforward to condemn the action itself for what it plainly is.

why would you condemn an action. that was legal and ethical and moral. This whole problem is becacuse of the Biden immigration policy. it is there fault. They were ignoring it. Biden himself was flying people to other states and dropping them off in the middle of the night. So why is it a problem when Desantis does it? Why, because he is a republican and Biden can't get any credit for it. Biden is playing with these people lives, giving them hope when there is none. Desantis flew them to a place thst said they wanted them, because his state and texas and arizona don't have the resources to take care of them and did not ask for this problem. Liberal and progressives said they wanted immigrants in there state and that they were welcome, so ok here you are. take care of them. the problem is that they have found out they are just "Virture Signaling", they don't really want immigrants and they really don't care at all.

What was worse, DeSantis sending them to Martha's Vinyard, or Martha's Vinyard, after some virtue signaling, getting rid of them asap?

You tell us MMXX. Which is better? To be open and honest with your intentions or to lie to people in order to trick then into something not in their best interest?

Well, one out of three is not a great strike rate.
you live in Australia what do you know about US immigration law. you are surrounded by a great big wall it is the Ocean. You guy control your immigration much more strictly than us and you tell people where they can and cannot go. I wish we had you policies and your system in the us. If we did this would not be happening.

He was not "authorized to do so". We Americans live in a country that abides by the rule of law. People like Desantis are not above the law.

Being lied to and deceived are not harms in your book?

What law did Desantis break?
Police are allowed to lie to you if you are a criminal. Illegal immigrants are criminals. they have broken the law and have harmed america.

The asylum seekers were in the country legally, pending a hearing on their status. They were not breaking the law.

They weren't "turned loose". They were awaiting a court hearing.

you live in Australia what do you know about US immigration law.

You seem to believe that you know a lot about Australian immigration. But expect me to know nothing about it as it affects the US? How does that work?

I'll give you a heads up. We're a long way from anywhere down here. But we probably travel more than most all other nationalities and take a great interest in the rest of the world. This is anecdotal but I'd almost guarantee that the average Australian knows a great deal more about what's happening in the world than does your average Joe from Smallville US. And that's been personally confirmed during many months of travelling around the US. You're some of the friendliest, most generous people I've met. But the most insular. Often alarmingly unaware of what happens outside your borders.

You should try talking to a few people that you consider 'foreigners'. They might give you an outsiders idea of the US. But we're known for being blunt and forthright, so maybe you'd prefer not to.

well i almost immigrated there, researched it out so yah I know a thing or two. you seem to be a bit hostile, evasive and defensive. attack, attack, attack. I am better, I know better, you know nothing, seems to be your gig. If that is they way you are going to play then you will get one of two reaction I will either ignore you or I will fight with you, but I won't take your kicks in the teeth. It seems to be the Australian way to lack certain social graces and think it is a virtue. we call it being a Hillbilly here.

Fight with me? This is a forum. We debate. You can present your ideas and opinions and the rest of us will comment accordingly. But yeah, you're right. We don't stand on ceremony too much. Convict heritage and all that. Don't so much as call a spade a spade. More likely to call it a ***** shovel.

Did you get turned down or decide not to come because of our lack of social graces?
