There is no biblical evidence of Sunday being consecrated as "The Lord's Day", or for any special purpose for that matter.
True. We know the Apstolic Churvh met on Sunday, and the first congregations also went to the Synagogues on the Sabbath. But there is no indication that Sunday was considered "the Lord's Day". In fact, there is evidence to the contrary (Romans 14:5-12).

The apostles met everyday, but I have yet to find text that says they met every first day to preach the Word of God like we have on the Sabbath- references below.

More importantly, there is no scripture by thus saith the Lord that tells us that we are no longer to keep the Sabbath commandment and the first day is the new day of worship.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
- Acts 13:27

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
- Acts 13:42

And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
- Acts 13:44

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
- Acts 15:21

And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
- Acts 16:13

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
- Acts 17:2

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
- Acts 18:4

I am not saying Sunday is the Sabbath as the Sabbath was Saturday (as a Christian I believe Christ Himself is our Sabbath). I'm not saying we should gather on Sunday. I am simply saying why we do.

Acts 20:7: "Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight."

I Corinthians 16:2: "On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper that there be no collections when I come...

John 20:19: "Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews...

I'm not sure how Christ became a day. The seventh day is the Sabbath according to God Exodus 20:10 and there is no scripture that says Jesus is our Sabbath and we can disregard the 4th commandment.

I agree with your statement "I'm not saying we should gather on Sunday", because there is nothing to indicate in scripture that the first day is holy, the day God blessed or a new day of worship and we no longer need to keep the seventh day Sabbath holy, because in scripture God only identifies the seventh day as being His holy day Exodus 20:10, Isaiah 58:13, Genesis 2:1-3 and all other days are working days. Exodus 20:9. Since we are to follow the Word of God, I don't see a biblical argument for Sunday-keeping.

The apostles met every day to break bread Acts 2:42 which doesn't mean every day is the Sabbath day.

Collecting a non-church offering would not be something done on Sabbath, so that verse certainly keeps in line with wanting to keep the Sabbath day holy.

John 20:19 refers to Saturday evening as in biblical times days begin in the evenings and hiding from the Jews does not sound like a biblical reason to move worship from God's holy Sabbath day, to another day that was not instructed by God.

Sunday worship did not come from scriptures, but was added around 300 AD and started off as a Pegan tradition Sun worship which turned into Sunday worship and during this time Ceasar was mixing some of the Christian teaching with Pegan teachings. Mind you during his time millions of Christians were being persecuted so people were trying to separate themselves from the Jews/Christians and Sabbath-keeping so compromise crept in the church. In scripture we are told to worship in Truth and Spirit John 4:23-24 and Jesus warns us of keeping traditions of man over the commandments of God. Matthew 15:3-9. There is no commandment of God for Sunday-keeping but there is for Sabbath-keeping Exodus 20:8-11 and it was written personally by the finger of God. Exodus 31:18 We see the Lord never changed His mind as the Sabbath will continue to be the Lord's chosen day of worship for all eternity. Isaiah 66:22-23. This seems like an easy decision to me, even if it's not the more popular decision. In scripture we are told not to take the popular path. Matthew 7:13-14

Christ didn't become a day. You are missing the point of the Sabbath. Christ IS that rest. The Sabbath points to Christ, not the other way around.

Either way, Scripture is pretty clear that some observe one day over others (whether Saturday or Sunday) and others reguard all days alike. Each needs to follow their convictions.

Please point to the scripture that says Christ is the Sabbath rest and we no longer need to keep the Sabbath commandment and now can worship on a day of our choice?

This is what Christ in His own words, is how we are to spend the Sabbath, so not sure if I am the one missing the point on God's holy day:

Exodus 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Isaiah 58:13
“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,

Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation.

Isaiah 66:23 And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.

How did Jesus and the apostles keep the Sabbath are our example? Jesus was in the temples reading the Word of God, the apostles were preaching and teaching God's Word every Sabbath to Gentiles, Jews and whole cities.

Either way, Scripture is pretty clear that some observe one day over others (whether Saturday or Sunday) and others reguard all days alike.

The scripture does not say the Sabbath or Sunday in Romans 14 so you are adding that. In fact, it doesn't even mention the Sabbath in this whole passage. If God was going to "do away" with one of His finger-written commandments the scriptures would be crystal, clear. If you read this passage in context it is not referring to the weekly Sabbath, there is no food in the Sabbath commandment. The apostles were speaking of the feast days and nothing to do with the day God deems above all others, that is a commandment of God, not a suggestion. I am not the one that you need to convince, just sharing the scriptures because sadly many churches are teaching the exact opposite of what Jesus told us to teach Matthew 5:19-30 There is someone out there wanting us to think we do not need to keep the commandments of God, but that does not come from God. Revelation 12:17

Hebrews 4 does, however I will not bother quoting it as I am sure you have a different interpretation.

This is more important:

Romans 14:5–6 One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
6 He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God. . . . 10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you regard your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

There is no scripture in Hebrews 4 that says Jesus is the Sabbath rest and we no longer need to keep the 4th commandment. Since you didn't provide that verse in Hebrews 4 I am going to assume its not there, but if you find it please let me know. Hebrews 4 actually says we are to keep the Sabbath rest (Sabbath-keeping) for God's people Hebrews 4:9 and one must cease from their works as God did from His Hebrews 4:10 (on the seventh day) Hebrews 4:4 which references creation Genesis 2:1-3 and we should fear not to enter into the rest in Christ and the example that is used why the Israelites did not enter was due to disobedience Hebrews 4:6 which in particular they disobeyed the Sabbath. Ezekiel 20:13, Ezekiel 20:21. I am happy to go through this verse by verse if you want. We should all be seeking Biblical Truth, because that is what matters.

Lets quote all of Romans 14 so we can get proper context. You can never get proper context typically just from a verse in a passage

14:1 Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. 2 For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. 3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him. 4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. 5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. 10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written:

Please show me in the passage where it says the seventh-day Sabbath is no longer a commandment and now we can keep it if we feel like it or where in the 4th commandment is any reference to food or judging? This is what God said about the seventh-day Exodus 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. What man deems above other days does not matter, what does God deem above all other days is what matters. Romans 14 has nothing to do with the Sabbath commandment.

Sure there is. You just do not see it. And we have never been under the 10 Commandments (read to whom they were given in Deut. )

If its there, just point it out. It shouldn't be hard.

Are you saying we can worship other gods, vain God's holy name, bow to idols, steal, murder, covet etc. etc? I don't see this anywhere in the scriptures or that we are free to break any of the Ten Commandments. So sad this is what churches are teaching. Scripture shows God's people keep the commandments right until the very end when Jesus comes. Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12, Revelation 22:14-15.

Sin is the transgression of God's law 1 John 3:4 and Paul quotes directly from the Ten Commandments to point out sin Romans 7:7. James said if you break one of the commandments quoting directly from the Ten than you break them all James 2:10-12.

If we are one of God's people than the Ten Commandments applies. Israel is just a name God gave to identify His people.

Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

God only has one people and that is those in Him through faith.

Galatians 2:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

I don't know about you, but I want to be one of God's people. He wrote His law in our hearts and minds and I would not want to change what God wrote for us to keep, through faith and love. 1 John 5:3, Exodus 20:6, John 14:15, Romans 3:31, Revelation 14:12

Is Jesus Christ taught on the Sabbath in the synagogues (which are Jewish) today? Is the "Law" taught in Christian churches today?

Here is where Jesus taught.

And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people. (Matthew 4:23)

To be fair, the Lord's Day was never the Sabbath.

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
Which day does God identify as His holy day? I think God can speak for Himself and God did proclaim a day above all others in His own Words. Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:10, Isaiah 58:13

The Sabbath is made for man and man was created on the sixth day Genesis 1:26 before the first Sabbath spent in the presence of God. Genesis 2:1-3 Exodus 20:10 What a glorious day that must have been. The Sabbath continues to be the Lords chosen day of worship for eternity Isaiah 66:23. Amen!

Which days does Scripture talk about when it says some men observe over another, other men view all days as the same as being a matter of conscious? Do you disagree with that passage?

The Sabbath is the seventh day Exodus 20:10. It’s the only day God claimed above all others for Him Exodus 20:10, Genesis 2:1-3, Isaiah 58:13 and for man. Exodus 20:8-11. All other days are working days. Exodus 20:9.

There is no such scripture that says God changed His holy day or we are free to break one of God’s commandments.

We are to "remember" the Sabbath day, and "keep it holy". Convocations and worship were "added" to the Sabbath as many other rules were added to the basic ten commandments. Today we keep the commandments in their higher purpose, not just in their literal meaning. The church can't reconstitute ancient Israel so that the Law can be kept in its literal entirety.

I’m not sure how one can keep the “higher purpose” of the Sabbath by breaking the literal commandment. Breaking the literal commandment, means one is not really obeying God’s righteous instructions. The “higher purpose” is greater than the literal, not lesser. There is nothing in the Sabbath that one must keep the Sabbath in ancient Israel so we should probably not add what is not there.

So, what are the rules regarding the Sabbath today?

That’s a good question, I don't see anywhere in scripture one of God’s commandments have changed so we should look for scripture and the example Jesus left on how to keep God’s holy Sabbath day.

God first identifies the Sabbath is on the seventh day Exodus 20:10 We are commanded to keep His Sabbath day holy. Exodus 20:8 so we cease from all of our work and labors on the Sabbath. Exodus 20:8-11

We are told the Sabbath is not about anything secular, not doing our ways but the ways of the Lord on His holy day. Isaiah 58:13. The Sabbath is about communion with God on His holy day and examples of this are prayer Acts 16:13, reading the Word of God Luke 4:16-17, reasoning with the scriptures Acts 17:2, going to church Luke 4:16, Leviticus 23:3, Acts 13:42 fellowship hearing God’s Word Acts 13:44. Personally I enjoy Sabbath by going to church, spending time in prayer and bible studies. I also enjoy nature walks on the Sabbath. I rest in Him on His holy Sabbath by putting aside all the stress of the week and instead spend a full day of communion feasting on His Word, its really a wonderful blessing.
