After looking at what I said in another thread, I just wanted to apologize for my remarks there.

I see what I was doing was at the very least selfish if not downright nasty. I should not presume to criticize the Catholic tradition.

So I humbly apologize and recognize my wrong. I wanted to do this because the thread this was done in is under review and I wanted to leave with some dignity in the case I get banned for doing what I did.

I am sorry.

Thank you. You are always welcome to fellowship here. Catholic teaching and belief is always off limits though. All safe havens are like this. I hope to see you around!

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. I suspect it was a post in the topic about "What Makes the Protestant Supper Illegitimate?", and it has been deleted.

Most of us wouldn't even have read it, although I might have at some stage as I posted on 3 occasions. To be honest though, I didn't feel offended and while this might be a bit worrying I don't even remember it. Then again maybe I didn't see it as it had been deleted before I got involved.

Sometimes its a fine line between discussion and criticism.

Agreed, I didn't read the thread either, because I've been both Catholic and Protestant, received both Eucharist and Holy Communion, and made confession for both rites.
The way I figure it, we both ( Catholic and Protestants) serve the same God who loves us, He has the same basic 10 rules, the elements are both sanctified, and all of us do our best to serve the same God.
Yes, there are differences, but our God, Three in One, is the same.
So what can we say?
This is Earth, not Heaven.
We are none of us perfect,
but we serve the same God.
We are saved by the same Christ,
and we are aided daily by the same Holy Spirit.
God sees better than we do that what unites all of us is His love.
And by His grace we know that what we cannot do here on Earth in our human imperfection, can be made perfect in Heaven by God.

And when we get there by His grace, God will teach all of us; filling in the cracks and missing pieces, so that for the very first time we can all be one people, united by His love.
