The second one accepted by 98%+ of people in the christian religion as God's creation. So when they read the word earth (erets, land/ground) in The Bible this image comes to mind.

That’s because it’s impossible to make a flat map of the earth that is to scale.



Now look at a flat earth map and notice how much narrower and shorter North America is compared to South America. In reality North America is wider and taller than South America but the flat earth map shows the opposite. On a flat earth map all of North America is about 1/4 the size of South America.


Also notice how ridiculously tiny Europe and Asia are compared to Australia. In reality Europe and Asia combined are roughly 4 times wider than Australia.

His response will simply be that the flat earth map presented is not accurate. The problem they have is that they cannot produce any accurate flat earth map.

In order for your interpretation of creation to be true then it must coincide with reality. If it doesn’t coincide with reality then your interpretation is incorrect.

I keep my mind open. It could be flat, spherical, toroidal or something else.
I must admit that when the theory started resurfacing I did have a look into it. Unfortunately the weight of evidence is with the spherical model, with flat-earthers unable to really flesh out the finer details. But that could be because we don't have any scientists trying to prove it.

It certainly does feed in to other conspiracy theories, some of which I have a propensity towards simply because of my faith. But this, if true, just seems incredible in magnitude and scale of deception.

In my opinion it is not contradictory to the Bible to believe in a flat earth, indeed some passages seems to corroborate it - although not explicitly. I do wonder about the firmament.

The Scriptures are not a science book, they are a love letter full of poetic license.

Show me a real photo of these satellites that are supposed to be out there. The real ones i have seen are attached to balloons.

Okay well something has to keep them up there because my GPS works. I was under the impression they were in orbit.

I believe all this is tower based, with some balloon satellites being used.

But really all this has no interest for me. My belief about God's creation heaven and earth, are completely Biblically based.

I have looked into the FE view.. As for satellites... that is one question..

However... sun rise and sun sets.. you have to start educating yourself on the FE model and not simply asking questions that have legitimate answers. Tides, change in daylight hours, sunrise, seasons, "wheres the edge".... all have answers. Educate yourself.

Be careful however... Every flat earth believer started out with "that's crazy".. and "what about this" and "what about that"....Then, after researching..... became full on believers.

Start by looking at some of the keynote speakers at international FE conferences.. Rob Skiba, Jeranism, Mark Sargent, and others.

There are even laser beam videos that show that there is no evidence of a curve over miles of flat frozen lakes... One video is a pathetic attempt to debunk the laser beam test that was easily ripped to shreds by simple science.

One has to ask why the geographic channel would work so hard to fake a laser test... only to have it solidly proved to be a fabrication.

I don't have time right now to look but I bet that YouTube has removed many of these eye opening videos.

I would simply go to the YouTube site of the late Rob Skiba..... a treasure trove of well researched and biblical based information on this subject... He went out, in the field, and simply proved that this is a legit view.... if not the truth.

I'm just curious, what is the benefit of lying to everyone and telling them the earth is round? Who profits from that? Why did they fake those photos of the earth taken from space and what is the goal of this huge conspiracy to deceive people into believing the earth is round?

photos are useless because you only believe what you want to believe. You believe in a worldwide conspiracy to cover up the fact that the earth is flat for no apparent reason at all. There’s no reason for the government to lie about the shape of the earth. If it was flat they would tell us it’s flat not to mention that it would be the biggest kept secret ever kept by millions of people. All captains, sailors, pilots, air traffic control technicians, communications technicians, astronauts, astronomers, geographers, and countless more people in various fields all agreed to keep this secret with absolutely no leaks at all. It’s the most incredibly preposterous theory I’ve ever heard in my entire life that only the most gullible and irrational people on the planet could possibly believe. This has nothing to do with the Bible it’s nothing more than a cult society wanting to indulge in fantasy and let their imagination run wild supporting one another with the most ridiculous theories possible. The Bible is a book of truth, it’s not a book of fantasy where we can just let our imagination run wild. It takes discernment to understand it and it’s not ok to just believe whatever we want to believe. There is only ONE TRUTH, and truth is not subjective. The purpose of the Bible is for God to reveal that truth to us not to promote delusional fictions. Fiction is deception from the truth they are polar opposites. God’s word does not promote deception.

It's simple... if you want to accept it....

If the earth is flat... and has a solid firmament... and is not rotating, floating in space... and the sun and moon are much smaller and very close..... Where does the satanic, athesitic, Darwinian model of evolution stand?

A snow globe.... stationary enclosed flat earth destroys the evolutionary fable... They have to have a model that accepts random chance occurance of a spherical earth that just happened to spawn it's own life...

That..... is the reason to cover up the FE.
