Not enough high speed rail.

All armies are a bit scary. And putting "peace" in the name, doesn't change that.

peace, peace, when there is no peace is found in Jeremiah 6:14 as well as Jeremiah 8:11. It is also found in Ezekiel 13:10 and 16. In all four places, it has the same meaning in the same historical context.

As an international organization, the UN has to essentially work with diverse epistemologies and ontologies due to a representation of a number of ideologies, making the decision process very subjective and, as a result, ineffective overall.

At best .... an attempt to promote peace .... how that actually plays out in the various countries around the globe is dependent on their individual governments.

They never have enough firepower to enforce peace, or even a DMZ, and so have just become a symble that tends to get ignored.

When the United Nations was first established, many politicians
and world leaders referred to it as the world’s “last hope”
for world peace. Peace was not being germinated there, but
the seeds of the next war.
