A company selling Pro-Trump and other radical right-themed apparel was illegally switching tags on clothing to dupe buyers into believing the items were made in the USA. They were actually made in CHY-Na. MAGA by selling Chinese goods. America First?

The Federal Trade Commission has finalized an order against apparel company Lions Not Sheep Products, LLC, and its owner Sean Whalen for falsely claiming that its imported apparel is Made in USA. Lions Not Sheep Products, LLC, and Whalen will pay $211,335.

What is the difference between dishonest and a fine line...

I ran a trucking co. years ago in AZ. We shipped suites from a company in Nogales, AZ that were assembled by the maquiladora’s in Nogales, Mexico.
They shipped them to the company in Nogales, AZ. where we would pick them up. The company in Arizona would put the buttons on the suites and run a stitch on the sleeves....then put the tag on "Made in the USA"

None. The Nogales suit company was guilty as well.
Under the order, Whalen and Lions Not Sheep must stop claiming that products are made in the United States unless they can show that the product’s final assembly or processing—and all significant processing—takes place here and that all or virtually all ingredients or components of the product are made and sourced here.

Good, companies should be honest about their goods.
