Right now it has 2300 students. That is probably less than when I went there as they have converted faculty parking back to faculty parking in the front of the school. When I was going there it had been converted to bungaloes to handle all the students.

That is more students than the college I went to, though recent expansion may have pulled my college even in numbers.
My high school was around 600 and my college was only about 3,000.

I've experienced all that but used a different science -

common sense.

You know it's funny that I never took physics or calculus in school. I did terrible in algebra even in college. Yet somehow I made in the world and understand the way the world works. I never needed it.

I am pretty good at basic math and use it it quite a bit in my everyday life. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are all that is necessary. Now if you want to go into the sciences or engineering etc, those other things are really important.

So we can really understand how the world works without so much "education".

In fact a lot of education these days just gives you a lot of debt without a real job that will sustain your life and the life of your family.

If they paid their teachers more they might have more candidates.

It's not so much the money as the conditions (political and physical). Schools set up no-win scenarios that are psychologically draining for teachers today.

In my limited scope, the private religious and magnate type schools do not seem to have an issue with staffing to the extent the public schools do.

Smaller class size, more control of behavior issues and a cleaner curriculum seems to be some of the pluses I hear about.

Right!
Charter schools are set up so as not to have to take all students, but only those whose parents fight to get them in. These charter schools outcomes are much better if the quality of their charges are better.
