Would you bury your loved one in your own backyard?

I would not but I am also opposed to burial in general.
There is a green burial that's allowed in some jurisdictions. Some places allow, I think I've heard, a burlap bag.

In any case, if my corpse or those of my loved ones could contribute to a tree or bugs life cycle, I'd like to buried. Otherwise, may as well be cremated. But I hope to have a few more years to decide.

He is talking about when Skynet becomes self aware and the machines wage war on humankind.
Actually, it is Christian beliefs found in the Christian Bible. This is a Christian site. So, we quote the Bible. Nobody is forcing anyone to come here and endure our beliefs. Feel free to move on or enjoin the discussion and learn something!:oldthumbsup:

Cardboard and plant fiber coffins, too. Personally, if going with burial that's the way to go I think.
All these fancy coffins, especially metal ones, I just don't get the point. Unless you're planning on digging people up and moving them around...

Fancy coffins are the result of an industry preying on people making decisions during a very emotional state.

Burials in general are a waste (and often comes with unnecessary costs to the family facilitated by grifters in the funeral industry).

I already have it set up so that when I die, my body gets donated to the science department of a university.

They take care of any expenses, transportation, etc...

Zero cost to the family, and my dead body will be put to a productive purpose.

(as opposed to my family having to pony up a bunch of money because some funeral home director is trying to convince them that spending a lot of money on a box that will go in the ground is somehow a reflection of how much they loved me)

Watched how much they tried to prey on my mom after my dad passed last year...had I not intervened, they pretty much already had her talked into shelling out $8,000 on a coffin, and another $1,000 on a suit for him to wear while in it.

With emotionally loaded language like "Typically, families want it to be a reflection of how they want to remember him" (IE: if you go with a cost-effective option, you must not really care about your dead family member)

They even try to upsell you weather/water proofing on the casket...yeah, wouldn't want the decomposing body to get wet.

I was recently in Sicily, in a small town. I learned that the local cemetery, which has been in use for hundreds of years, has a solution for the inevitable space problem. Your body has a space for 100 years, then, after anyone who remembered you is long gone, your bone are moved to the pit to open space for another. It sounds irreverent but I don’t think that is the intent at all. It is actually very practical, you and your mourners have all left this world, why not allow the space to be used for the next generation.

Or in a local golf course?
Will Ivana help Donald Trump with tax breaks from beyond the grave?

how about launching them into the ocean with a catapult?
I can think of some family members I’d enjoy seeing catapulted into the sea. I also like the idea of sea burial as long as the body is not encapsulated in anything that would hinder natural consumption by ocean creatures.

Well being ground up and used to fertilize the rose garden sounds good to me. But it seems only lunatics like the Davis Clan can get away with that solution. (If you actually understand that please write me).

My second choice is being included in a mass pet creamation. That way my ashes end up in good company.

Counting by percent. If there were 100 people, this would reduce it to 75:

Revelation 6:8
8. And I saw, and behold, a pale green horse, and the name of the one sitting on it was Death; and Hades followed after him. And authority was given to them to kill over the fourth of the earth with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Of the 75 that are left, this would reduce it to 50. Hence, 50% of the population killed.

That is a lot of graves.

Rev_9:18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

That is a lot of graves and a lot of burial.
Usually in cases of mass death, the dead are simply piled up and burned or long trenches are dug for mass graves.

Wild beasts? Does Jesus know we've been outside the food chain for basically a century or two?
