Please pray for my daughter

She has had depression for more than a year with limited help from medication. Scripture and logic do not seem to work. She has been a Christian for several years. She is now doubting her salvation and God's love for her since she is so miserable. Also has waited many years for a first date, through no fault of her own. Also, there are no suitable therapists available. Many do not even have waiting lists, or are too expensive.

I don’t know about the price, but I do see YouTube psychologists who offer therapy online. I have prayed for your daughter.

Father in Heaven, please draw near your child and calm her mind. Bring her peace and assurance of your love for her. Amen.

Romans 8:35, 37-39 – "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Dear God, Please help this child, who You died for, as she wrestles with this monster called depression that can consume the heart, and grapple with the mind. Let her taste the victory You ordained by the precious blood You shed on the cross. Please help them to find the therapist you have blessed with the skills, and talent to guide her through this jungle we know as mental illness. For we give Him glory, honor, and praise. Thank you for sharing. I am sorry your daughter is struggling with depression. I have struggled for years with depression so I can relate. I couldn't believe as a Christian how I could feel these deep dark feelings. You supporting her is so helpful. Just continue to remind her how much you love her no matter what she is going through. Also, remind her that God is a loving God and He provides grace and mercy. His love is unconditional. She needs to know it is not her fault that she is struggling with depression. Depression is a disease and the right medication and counseling is how you pull through and heal. It is a chemical imbalance that happens in the brain, often from the way we think and how we cope with situations. It took me years through counseling and working with a healthy life coach to find what makes me tick. What causes my spiraling. I realized I struggled with false guilt, comparing myself to others all the time, and was a perfectionist; which there is no such person, except for Jesus. Focus on the Family has some great resources about depression and how to help a family member struggling with depression. I will be praying for your daughter and for you. Hugs and God Bless

Thanks so much for your prayers! My daughter is also struggling with fault guilt and had been a perfectionist. She still believes she does not have a good future, but she has not been crying as much or as often. God Bless

Lord, let us seek the Healer more than the Healing, the Peace Giver more than the Peace; at the same time, please reach out to Your daughter, the daughter of Cindy, to calm her fears, heal her pain, and bring peace where there is none. Let this time of healing and peace be a time where You draw her unto You, teach her to focus on the richness of those near her who need her to comfort them as much as she needs comfort from them, and from You. Turn her sadness into shining Glory through sanctification so that everyone that knows her, also sees Your Glory! In Jesus we pray! Amen
