all because a few people abuse them? How much sense does that make? A gun does nothing on its own. NOTHING. You can have all the guns in the world and it is the person behind the trigger that makes a difference.

And we can't do anything about keeping guns out of the hands of those who "make a difference" because it might infringe on the rights of those ready to defend us from left-wing tyranny.

I will admit that that is a little different because again often ( though not always) people who get charged with vehicular homicide or vehicular manslaughter are not intending to break the law and are breaking laws that people break all the time and are usually no harm no foul.

Because they believe a woman and a medical professional should decide if an abortion is warranted, not politicians.

There is a difference in need medically (in which case I agree and for birth control or because of rape or something like that.

I believe that the Constitution that that was written to help protect my right to life, the same document that politicians are sworn to defend, should be included in my decision to defend my life, not politicians.
Fortunately I have the SCOTUS on my side in both Roe, and Heller.

To be fair, you have also strongly indicated that you consider vaccination mandates to protect the public health from deadly disease "draconian," although the failure of many Americans to get vaccinated has given the US the highest number of cases and deaths in the world.
You have supported blockades of truckers whose actions blocked international borders, disrupting lifesaving supplies and causing thousands of auto industry layoffs.
So forgive me if I take your definition if draconian with a grain of salt.

That post wasn't addressed to you. This thread is about gun control; and when someone claims to be promoting that to protect children, while simultaneously standing on a party platform that has taken more children's lives than could be conceived with guns; that is relevant to the topic.
However, the topic is not about abortion.
