It’s not her body that I have a problem with. It’s the body of her unborn child that I would like to protect.

If it is a child, with the same rights and responsibilities as any citizen, should it have special rights that no other human has?

Who owns the umbilical cord? If it's the woman's, should she have the right to cut it? If it's the unborn's, should she forcibly have it attached to her body without permission?

And murder can be a federal crime as well as a state crime...

Gee, it feels like I've said that somewhere before.

But don't take my word for it.

Is murder a federal crime? 7 ways it can be

Hmmm... Without a federal abortion ban, abortion can legally be performed on federal land...

And there are 63 national parks in the US, in a total of 30 states... And I'll bet my blessings that most of them have First Aid stations with access to medical equipment...

Planned Parenthood could branch out into tourism while the antiabortion crowd stands on the sidelines and wrings their hands... #alwaysaloophole
Just because there are federal laws against murder doesn’t mean that there should be.

That is not all. If one supports a woman's right to choose abortion while never actually participating in one is equally as sinful, and guilty.
Sinful, yes, but not guilty of a crime.

Just because there are federal laws against murder doesn’t mean that there should be.

Without federal laws, then federal land would have no laws.

You think murder should be permissible in Yellowstone National Park?
You can rape someone at Yosemite consequence-free?
And of course, military installations are subject to federal, not local or state, jurisdiction -- I predict a lot of officers' wives visiting the doc at Fort Dix...

I am prolife. Not Anti abortion
Were you supporting mask wearing, vaccinations, social distancing, removing of unvaccinated employees from work places where they would have put other workmates and customers at risk?

Why should it be up to the states?
It should be upto the individual pregnant woman, not some guy she doesn't know and has no understanding of her life.

I was asking you to add civility to the conversation by properly addressing those who are pro life properly. The term Anti abortion is used in the pejorative and many find it a derogatory reference.
It's difficult nowadays to consider a person "pro-life" when they fought tooth and nail against any measures to save lives in the Covid pandemic.
I know some went with the measures and some fought against the measures. But personally I refuse to accept a person as "pro-life" if they fought against Covid measures.

I don't see the term anti-abortion as derogatory, just simply a fact. However even this gets blurred, as pointed out already, some of these people are against sex-ed and against contraceptives and hence being against these things increases the rate of abortions.

Why should it be up to the states?
Well, if we want to go local, how about leaving it up to the counties?
The cities?
The people?
The woman herself? Heavens to Betsy, what a dreadful idea!

Let us never forget the "pro-life" Lt. Governor of Texas, Dan Patrick, who announced that "there are more important things than living," at the height of the pandemic.

Talk about a narrow focus for "life"!

It just seems the the focus on " life" is limited from conception up until the moment the baby takes their first breath. After that, it's Socioeconomic Darwinism -- Survival of the wealthiest.

Do you support taking the same steps in preventing pregnancy?

Mandating condoms and female birth control measures both device and medicinal? Do you support separating people who don't? Do you support firing people with STD's who can transmit those diseases to other workmates and customers?

Interesting questions

As we know, pregnancy isn't contagious, and typically isn't deadly. So there is no danger to workmates or customers from being around pregnant women.

Also there is no danger to workmates or customers being around people with STDs.

So this analogy falls flat on its face.

But given your post here, I am safe to assume you are not pro-life.

It ends in the death of millions of babies a year through abortion.

Getting back to the illustration from the pandemic - I guess you didn't support mandatory masking and safe distancing etc.
