Hopefully, Pence will have a similar plan that will give Americans a similar glimpse into where these Republican ideologies will take them--to the poorhouse--and scare them "straight" to the polls to vote blue.

Regardless of Biden approval ratings, I think there are many voters ready to vote for anyone other than Trump or a Trump sycophant. I'd like to see a sane Republican candidate. Short of that, my vote will go to the candidate likely to earn the most number of votes who isn't named Trump or isn't one of his MAGA disciples.

I especially like this, from the link in to OP:

“And I think by relentlessly focusing on the future we can stop the radical left, we can turn this country around, we can win the Congress and state houses back in 2022, and we can win back America in 2024 and beyond,” he added.

Pence’s agenda does include a section on election reform, in which he calls for mandatory voter identification, a prohibition on in-person voting more than 10 days before an election and says mail-in voting should be “rare.” But it makes no mention of the 2020 race.
And this from the actual agenda:

Pence’s “Freedom Agenda,” released Thursday, combines traditional Republican goals like increasing American energy production, cutting taxes and rolling back regulations with priorities pursued by former President Donald Trump on issues like trade and immigration.

Then what does the opinions of the FF have to do with anything?
Seriously? Originalism is a genuine thing here in America.

Fundamentalists of all stripes.

Judge: California's women on boards law is unconstitutional

Odd they keep trying to pass laws in violation of equal rights.
I remember when this kind of quota was applauded by Republicans when put into the Afghani constitution of 2004. Quotas are unpopular these days.

It is very hard to undo the status quo.

All I know is that when people are presented with Rick Scott's platform to bankrupt the 99% Biden's popularity soars and Republicans' tank.

I don't think so.....

President Joe Biden’s approval rating slid to a new low of 38%, according to CNBC’s All-America Survey.

Now that's what a Republican should sound like -- sane and sensible.

If the GOP leadership (aside from Donald, of course) agrees, Pence could be a strong contender.

True, but President Biden owes a lot of votes (and possibly the election itself) to the NeverTrump Republicans -- and no matter how disappointed they might be in Biden, they'd still rather eat their left shoe than vote for Donald -- or for one of his wannabes.

They held their noses once to vote for Biden; they'll do it again -- unless Pence can get the smell of Donald off himself... which he might be able to do.

Smell? Well the smell of biden has already cost him 20% of the Democratic votes he had - seems like there is a whole lot of regret on that side.

Regrets, you’ve had a few: 20% want Biden vote back

The Zogby Poll®: One-fifth of likely voters and Democrats regret voting for Biden

Based on one poll, you think those people will vote for Donald if he chooses to run again (and he probably will)?

Didn't say that -

I indicated that joe was so inept and feckless (IMHO) that he has lost 20% of the Democratic voters who actually voted for him. Combine with an approval rating of 38% - it sure isnt looking good.

But as Biden is fond of saying, "Don't compare me to the almighty; compare me to the alternative."

That said, based on one poll, do you think those people will vote for Donald if he chooses to run again (and he probably will)?

Because if we're talking about "inept and feckless," Donald certainly has a horse in that race...

Well there we go! Two well read intelligent posters have diametrically opposing view points.
