In Numbers 28:9-10 God commanded lambs offering and bread and wine for Sabbath, how would Sabbath lovers practice this ?

In Exodus 16:29 God also commanded not to go anywhere during Sabbath, do you follow this.

You are also not allow to cook or to clean or to move things, watching tv, using phones, buying or selling etc. Do you practice this : https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/95907/jewish/The-Shabbat-Laws.htm

Romans 14:5 says we should not judge those who don't practice sabbath. Even Romans 14:1-5 don't judge those who eat unclean meat and didnt follow sabbath and in Colossians 2:16 Paul advised gentiles church of Colossians to ignore the Jews who taught them Sabbath and clean food.

Peter Rebuked the Law in Acts 15:10 Now then why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the gentiles the yoke that neither we or our ancestors have been able to bear ?

Jesus did not follow Sabbath, neither the disciples as they picked up grains on Sabbath day. Disciples followed Jesus not Sabbath like the pharisees.

Mark 2:28 says Jesus is the Lord of Sabbath so if we have Jesus we also have Sabbath every day. It means we should rest our heart in Holy Spirit every day. As Matthew 11:28-30 explains that Jesus is the Rest/sabath. Which is the fulfillment of the real sabath.

The Hebrew of the desert did not have Jesus as the Lord of Sabbath, they did not receive Holy Spirit of Pentecost either, why return to the ancient desert Law not given for gentiles ?

The Holy Spirit of Pentecost baptism is the real fulfillment of Sabbath rest given for believers only.

The answer is found in the book of Daniel, in conjunction with the 70 week prophecy.

Daniel 7:25-27

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Sacrifice and oblation ceased with the crucifixion of Jesus. Further evidence. The temple veil was rent top to bottom when Jesus died.

Matthew 27:50-51 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.
The sacrificial system pointed to Jesus (the sacrificial lamb), which is why it was prophesied to cease at His crucifixion, and why it indeed happened as scripture foretold.

Regarding not going anywhere on the Sabbath, let's look at scripture.

Not doing your own pleasure.

Isaiah 58:13-14

13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
Flight during God's holy day.

Matthew 24:20-21

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
The Sabbath being a holy day, if travel is unnecessary, then it should be avoided. However, if you're doing God's work on the Sabbath, and travel is necessary, then you travel. God commanded us to keep it holy. Any thing that deviates from that should be avoided.

I stay home on most Sabbaths (church attendance aside, of course). I do sometimes spend time in nature (which is communion with God) on the Sabbath, which may require a short drive to get to my destination.

Regarding observing the Sabbath; not cooking, cleaning, etc. Yes, I try to prep meals ahead of time or ensure I have minimal prep for meals during the Sabbath. I do not clean on the Sabbath. I do not buy or sell unless it's an absolute emergency. I don't own a TV. I do use my computer and my phone, to post on Christian forums and watch sermon videos.

Again, it's a holy day. We are to keep it holy by focusing our attention completely on God, His word and His work.

In Numbers 28:9-10 God commanded lambs offering and bread and wine for Sabbath, how would Sabbath lovers practice this ?

Quite easily actually. We are in the new covenant now not the old covenant to which all the sacrificial laws were attached to. All the animal sacrifices, the meat and drink offerings along with the Levitical Priesthood and the laws of the earthly Sanctuary for the remission of sins are now all fulfilled in Christ to who they pointed to as Gods' sacrifice for the sins of the world once and for all *John 1:29; Hebrews 10:10. The Levitical Priesthood pointing to Jesus as our true Great High Priest who now ministers on our behalf in the presence of God for us *Hebrews 7:1-25 in the heavenly Sanctuary that the Lord pitched and not man *Hebrews 8:1-13; see also Hebrews 9:1-27 and Hebrews 10:1-22. Under the old covenant laws for remission of sins however you might want to keep in mind that the laws of remission of sins and the sin offerings as well as the laws for the Levitical Priesthood and animal sacrifices were linked to every day of the week as well as the new moons and the Feast days.

The Continual Burnt Offering (daily)
  • Numbers 28:3-8 [3], And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering. [4], The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at even [5], And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a meat offering, mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil. [6], It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. [7], And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering. [8], And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the meat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
Sabbath offerings (weekly)
  • Numbers 28:9-10 [9], And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: [10], This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.

New Moon offerings (Monthly animal sacrifice)
  • Numbers 28:11-13 [11], And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; [12], And three tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram; [13], And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savoir, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. [14], And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine unto a bullock, and the third part of an hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of an hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. [15], And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
Passover/Unleavened Bread (Passover animal sacrifices)
  • Numbers 28:11-24 [11], And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; [12], And three tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram; [13], And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savoir, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. [16], And in the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. [17], And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. [18], In the first day shall be an holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work therein: [19], But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish: [20], And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil: three tenth deals shall ye offer for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram; [21], A several tenth deal shalt thou offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: [22], And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. [23], Ye shall offer these beside the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. [24], After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savoir unto the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.[25], And on the seventh day ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work.
Day of First Fruits (animal sacrifices)
  • Numbers 28:26-31 [26], Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: [27], But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; [28], And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto one bullock, two tenth deals unto one ram, [29], A several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs; [30], And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. [31], Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and their drink offerings.
Feast of Trumpet (Prior to the Day of Atonement; animal sacrifices and High Priest)
  • Numbers 29:1-6 [1], And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you. [2], And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savoir unto the LORD; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish: [3], And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram, [4], And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs: [5], And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you: [6], Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savoir, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.
Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur; animal sacrifices and High Priest)
  • Leviticus 16:5-10, 20-22 [5] From the Israelite community he is to take two male goats for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. [6] “Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household. [7] Then he is to take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting. [8] He is to cast lots for the two goats—one lot for the Lord and the other for the scapegoat. 9 Aaron shall bring the goat whose lot falls to the Lord and sacrifice it for a sin offering. [10] But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to be used for making atonement by sending it into the wilderness as a scapegoat ....[20] “When Aaron has finished making atonement for the Most Holy Place, the tent of meeting and the altar, he shall bring forward the live goat. [21] He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites—all their sins—and put them on the goat’s head. He shall send the goat away into the wilderness in the care of someone appointed for the task. [22] The goat will carry on itself all their sins to a remote place; and the man shall release it in the wilderness.
  • Numbers 29:7-11 [7], And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:[8], But ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD for a sweet savour; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year; they shall be unto you without blemish: [9], And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to a bullock, and two tenth deals to one ram, [10], A several tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs: [11], One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering of it, and their drink offerings.
Feast of Tabernacles (Feast of booths; animal sacrifice)
  • Numbers 29:12-40 [12], And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days:[13], And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish: [14], And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams, [15], And a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteen lambs: [16], And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering. [17], And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot: [18], And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: [19], And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering thereof, and their drink offerings. [20], And on the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish; [21], And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: [22], And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering. [23], And on the fourth day ten bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish: [24], Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: [25], And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering. [26], And on the fifth day nine bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:[27], And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: [28], And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering. [29], And on the sixth day eight bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish: [30], And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: [31], And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering. [32], And on the seventh day seven bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish: [33], And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: [34], And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering. [35], On the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein:[36], But ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savoir unto the LORD: one bullock, one ram, seven lambs of the first year without blemish: [37], Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullock, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner: [38], And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering. [39], These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings. [40], And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the LORD commanded Moses.
..............

As shown above from the scriptures, the old covenant Mosiac laws for remission of sins and animal sacrifice were a very important part of not only the daily but the weekly (Sabbath), the new moons, and the annual Feast days. These practices of course being "shadows of things to come" *Colossians 2:17 and the body being of Christ. Therefore under the new covenant these laws of remission of sins have no application in the new covenant to anyone of Gods' 10 commandments. Therefore they are not practiced in the new covenant because they were shadows pointing to the coming of Jesus as Gods' sacrifice for the sins of the world and Jesus as our great High Priest in the heavenly Sanctuary that the Lord pitched and not man based on better promises in the new covenant.
In Exodus 16:29 God also commanded not to go anywhere during Sabbath, do you follow this.
Exodus 16:29 does not tell us we cannot go out on the Sabbath. The context here is to go out collecting manna on the Sabbath and a double portion should be collected the day before called the "preparation day" according to the scriptures (e.g. see the context of Exodus 16:29 in Exodus 16:15-29 see also Mark 15:42).
You are also not allow to cook or to clean or to move things, watching tv, using phones, buying or selling etc. Do you practice this :
https://www.chaba.org/library/article_cdo/aid/95907/jewish/The-Shabbat-Laws.htm
Yes and no. We have a preparation day before the Sabbath to prepare all of our food and cooking. This is based off the scriptures and Exodus 16:4-5; Exodus 16:15-28. We also do not do any domestic duties or buying or selling as this is also work and not to be done on the Sabbath according to the commandment *Exodus 20:8-11. There is no scripture in regards to watching appropriate Sabbath based TV or using a phone on the Sabbath that would be a man-made teaching. It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath *Matthew 12:12 and you should consider the Words of Jesus here that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Gods' Sabbath is a gift for all mankind and a holy day of rest that God made for us to spend with him.

...................

You may want to consider that there is not a single scripture in all of God's Word that says Gods 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest. Sunday worship is a man-made teaching and tradition that has led many away from God and His Word to break the commandments of God. Jesus says in Matthew 15:3-9 that is we knowingly follow man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God we are not worshiping God. This begs the question who are we following God or man? God knows however that many do this out of ignorance and in times of ignorance God winks at and does not hold us accountable for sin (Acts of the Apostles 17:30-31; James 4:17) but when He gives us a knowledge of the truth of His Word he calls us to believe and follow what His Word says. According to the scriptures, at this time if we choose to harden our heart in sin and unbelief in order to continue in known unrepentant sin there remains no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking forward to of the judgement to come which shall devour the adversaries. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God *see Hebrews 10:26-31.

May God bless you as you seek Him through His Word.

Could you please answer why Peter In Acts 15:10 Rebuked the Law.

Acts 15:10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the gentiles the yoke that neither we or our ancestors have been able to bear.

In Romans 14:5 Paul said we should not judge those who don't practice sabbath.

@LoveGodsWord

Hi S78 nice to see you you.

This is an easy one. The short answer Paul was not referring to God's 10 commandments but the ceremonial laws of Moses and in this case in particular "circumcision" because the Jewish believers were going to the gentile believers telling them unless they be circumcised from the law of Moses they cannot be saved. This is the context of Acts of the Apostles 15:10 written in Acts of the Apostles 15:1 and the scripture tell us that it was about "this question", - Is the "shadow law" of circumcision from the law of Moses a requirement for the salvation of new gentile believers that Paul and Barnabas went to Jerusalem to consider with the other Apostles (see Acts of the Apostles 15:2). Acts of the Apostles 15 has nothing to do with the question is God's 10 commandments still the standard and requirement for Christian living as Gods' law in the new covenant gives us a knowledge of what sin is when broken *see Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and James 2:10-11 and leads us to Christ that we might be forgiven through faith *Galatians 3:22-25.

Lets add the context back into Acts of the Apostles 15:10 and see what it is really saying from the bible and not the teachings and traditions of men?

WHAT IS THE QUESTION THAT ACTS 15 IS CONSIDERING?

ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 15:1-21

[1], And certain men who came down from Judea taught the brethren, and said, EXCEPT YOU BE CIRCUMCISED AFTER THE MANNER OF MOSES YOU CANNOT BE SAVED.

NOTE
: ACTS 15:1 is the question that needs to be answered and the topic of conversation and CONTEXT of the chapter of ACTS 15. Here we have Jewish believers coming to Paul and Barnabas saying if the new GENTILES believers are not circumcised and made proselytes then they cannot be saved. This is the chapter context and issue of contention.

[2], When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, THEY DETERMINED THAT PAUL AND BARNABAS AND CERTAIN OF THEM SHOULD GO UP TO JERUSALEM UNTO THE APOSTLES AND ELDERS ABOUT THIS QUESTION.

NOTE: ACTS 15:2 Which question? Weather your salvation depends on being CIRCUMCISED. They then traveled to Jerusalem about this question to determine if new gentile believers needed to be CIRCUMCISED in order to be saved. Once they got to Jerusalem, the question was then asked and the discussion continued with the Pharisees stating their case first..

[5], But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees who believed, saying, It is needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

NOTE: KEEP in mind here the question was never over if gentile believers should obey God's 10 Commandments but to keep the Shadow laws of Moses, in this case CIRCUMCISION as a means of salvation. CIRCUMCISION is from the law of MOSES not God’s 10 Commandments written by God on two tables of stone.

[6], And the apostles and elders came together TO CONSIDER THIS MATTER.

NOTE: Again the topic of discussion and chapter CONTEXT that is being considered is the question stated in ACTS 15:1 which was IS CIRCUMCISION A REQUIREMENT OF SALVATION?

[7], And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, you know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
[8], And God, who knows the hearts, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as he did unto us;

NOTE: After much discussion between the Apostles, Peter then rose up showing that God gave the gentile believers the Holy Spirit being UNCIRCUMCISED.

[9], And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
[10], Now therefore why test God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
[11], But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

NOTE: They came to the conclusion then that salvation is not by being circumcised but be what circumcision pointed to. A new heart by faith. This is made plain latter in other scripture written by PAUL here... ROMANS 2 [25] For circumcision verily profits, if you keep the law: but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision is made uncircumcision. [26], Therefore if the uncircumcision keeps the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? [27], And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfills the law, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision do transgress the law? [28], FOR HE IS NOT A JEW, WHO IS ONE; NEITHER IS THAT CIRCUMCISION, WHICH IS OF THE OUTWARD FLESH: [29], BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; AND CIRCUMCISION IS THAT OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT AND NOT IN THE LETTER; WHOSE PRAISE IS NOT OF MEN BUT OF GOD.

If ACTS 15 was talking about the 10 Commandments then Pauls writings in to the CORITHIANS do not make any sense.

1 CORINTHIANS 7 [19] CIRCUMCISION IS NOTHING, AND UNCIRCUMCISION IS NOTHING, BUT THE KEEPING OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.

The scripture above is a contradiction of how some interpret the outcome of ACTS 15. You do not believe Dan, that we are now free to break any of God's 10 Commandments now do you?

[12], Then all the multitude kept silence, and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring what miracles and wonders God had done among the Gentiles by them.
[13], And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
[14], Simeon has declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
[15], And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
[16], After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
[17], That the rest of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, says the Lord, who does all these things.
[18], Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
[19], THEREFORE MY JUDGMENT IS THAT WE TROUBLE NOT THEM WHO FROM THE GENTILES ARE TURNED TO GOD:
[20], BUT WRITE UNTO THEM THAT THEY ABSTAIN FROM THE DEFILEMENT OF IDOLS, FORNICATION AND THINGS STRANGLED AND FROM BLOOD.

NOTE: JAMES conclusion is that new Gentile believers should not be troubled with CIRCUMCISION as a requirement of salvation which was the matter being considered and the question being discussion as shown in *ACTS 15:1-2; ACTS 15:6 but asks them to abstain from idols, fornication and from things strangled and from blood.

[21], FOR MOSES OF OLD TIME HAS IN EVERY CITY THEM THAT PREACH HIM, BEING READ IN THE SYNAGOGUES EVERY SABBATH.

NOTE: The reason why JAMES sends this letter to the new Gentile believers is that they would continue learning God's WORD EVERY SABBATH.

……………

CONCLUSION So the conclusion of the matter with CONTEXT added back in is found in v19-20 We are not to trouble the new gentile believers with CIRCUMCISION as a means of salvation. They are new converts that will learn more about GOD'S WORD when? EVERY SABBATH. In the meantime you should abstain from anything offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication.
So nothing written about the 10 Commandments being abolished in this chapter.

Here is what PAUL says of the matter here sometime latter after the decision of Jerusalem from the Acts of the Apostles 15 when he talks to the Corinthians gentile believers. Note what Paul says over the same question previously discussed from Acts of the Apostles 15?

1 CORINTHIANS 7 [19] CIRCUMCISION IS NOTHING, AND UNCIRCUMCISION IS NOTHING, BUT THE KEEPING OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD.

ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 15 was about “CIRCUMCISION” as a requirement for salvation and is not even considering Gods 10 Commandments.

......................

It is time to unlearn the lies we have been taught from Sunday school. There is not a single scripture in all of the bible that says God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments that give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest. Sunday worship is a man-made teaching and tradition that has led many away from God and His Word to break the commandments of God. According to the scriptures Jesus warns us saying that if we follow the man-made teachings and traditions that lead us away from God and His Word we are not worshiping God in Matthew 15:3-9. God is calling us all back to His Word to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth *John 4:23-24. Fear God therefore and give glory to Him for the hour of His judgement has come and worship Him that made the heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters *Revelation 14:7. Babylon has fallen God is calling us back to His Word to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God's sheep hear His voice (the Word) and follow Him. Those who do not hear do not follow because they are not His sheep according to *John 10:26-27.

Hi there,

It appears the word “sabbath” was added because I don’t see that in Romans 14:5, nor do I see where we have permission to break one of the commandments of God in that verse either.

The apostles was having a discussion on the annual holy feast days, not the seventh day Sabbath and the holy day of our Lord and God. Exodus 20:10, Isaiah 58:13

Here is it in context:

Romans 14:1 Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. 2 For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. 3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him. 4 Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. 5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.

Nothing about the seventh day Sabbath. There is no food or drink in the Sabbath commandment. If you keep reading later in Acts, the disciples are still keeping the Sabbath, long after Jesus ascended back to heaven. Acts 17:2 Acts 18:4

I hope this helps a little.

@LoveGodsWord

It seem you keep adding more content to your posts after they have been answered. Acts of the Apostles 15 has already been addressed. Let's deal with your new question in regards to Romans 14:5. If you read the whole chapter of Romans 14 in context it is about eating and not eating on days that men esteem over other days. Romans 14 has nothing to do with God''s 4th commandment. In fact it was Paul's custom like Jesus to keep the Sabbath (see Luke 4:16 and Acts of the Apostles 17:2). God's 4th commandment was never in contention .

Very simply to answer your question as @SabbathBlessings has already stated there is nothing mentioned in the whole chapter of Romans 14 that refers to God's 4th commandment or the seventh day of the week anywhere for that matter even in all the book of Romans. If Paul was trying to argue that God's 4th commandment is now abolished you would think he would be spending a lot of time here on a subject (not just two supposed verses that do not even mention the Sabbath) that was one of God's 10 commandments. When all of Israel had been keeping that Sabbath for 4000 years since it was given by God.

Very simply a careful reading of Romans 14 shows that there is only two verses talking about days that men esteem over other days in regards to eating and not eating and judging others in this regard in application to judgements of opinion in context to food and days that men esteem over other days (Romans 14:1-6).

Keep in mind here reading the chapter you will not see anywhere that the subject matter is talking about eating and not eating on days that God esteems over other days. It does not mention anywhere in the chapter it is talking about God's 10 commandments and neither is there any reference in this chapter that is talking about God's 4th commandment Sabbath. To come up with an interpretation that Romans 14 is talking about the Sabbath is to read into the scriptures what the scriptures do not say or teach anywhere.

What the scriptures do say and teach simply as we read what is written (not what is not written) we see that Romans 14:1-5 is talking about days that men esteem over other days in regards to eating and not eating certain types of food and judging others in this regard in application to personal opinions in context to food and days that men esteem over other days. It is not talking about days that God esteems over other days and the scriptures tell us that the things that "men esteem" are an abomination to God in Luke 16:15.

So there is no application to any day that God esteems over other days. The day that God esteems over other days according to the scriptures is the "seventh day" Sabbath where we see that God set apart the "seventh day" from all the other days of the week as a memorial of creation and "blessed the seventh day" making it a holy day of rest for all mankind (see Genesis 2:1-3; Mark 2:27) and commands His people to keep it as a memorial of creation and a celebration of God as the creator of heaven and earth in Exodus 20:8-11.

The scriptures show that Gods' Sabbath is the day that God esteems over other days. Jesus also stating he is the Lord (creator) of the Sabbath *Mark 2:28; Matthew 12;8 and it is His holy day taking ownership of the Sabbath as a day that God esteems over other days as God claims the Sabbath as His holy day in *Isaiah 56:4; Isaiah 58:13; Ezekiel 20:12-24; Ezekiel 22:8; Ezekiel 22:38; Exodus 31:13; Leviticus 19:3)

In fact an interpretation that Romans 14 is talking about the Sabbath pretty much goes against the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles in the entire new testament scriptures as Jesus and the Apostles and Paul and the disciples all kept the Sabbath and continued keeping the Sabbath well after the death and resurrection of Jesus (Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Ephesians 5:1-21; Peter 2:20-22; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4).

Romans 14 is mistakenly used by some as “proof” that there is no Sabbath law today. The seventh-day Sabbath was established at creation and included in the 10 Commandments and faithfully remembered by Jesus and the apostles and the New Testament Church. Yet many believe the doubtful things Paul talked about somehow included the Sabbath and made it obsolete for Christians today even when nothing in this regards is written anywhere in the whole chapter of Romans 14.

Romans 14:1 which is the context show that the subject matter here is to do with "doubtful disputations" or “doubtful things”, yet Paul would never refer to the Old Testament as “doubtful.” The Greek word for “doubtful” means “reasoning's” or “opinions” (Romans 14:1-2). In other words, Paul was addressing matters of personal opinion in this chapter, in regards to food and days that men esteem over other days and judging others in this regard, not matters of law.

What does the passage actually say? Romans 14:5-6 “One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it.”

In order to understand any part of the Bible, it is necessary to take what is said in context. The entirety of verse 6 reads: “He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.”

How were the people “observing” a day? There are a few views here. Some believe that it is a reference that was a problem at the time to meat being sold in the market place sacrificed to idols and believers not wanting to eat these meats because they thought they would be offending God. There is evidence of this also happening as a problem for the Corinthian believers in 1 Corinthians 8:1-13 which uses similar language to that used in Romans 14. Here is a link to an interesting article that may be of interest showing the background to this problem for believers in Paul's day if your interested with further scripture support (Here linked).

Another view is that Romans 14:5-6 is in reference to eating and not eating (fasting) on days that men esteem over other days. This has reference back to the gospels where the Jews would have preference over days for fasting on (eating and not eating) *see Luke 18:10-14. The application here is to days that men esteem over other days for eating and not eating.

SOME POINTS TO CONSIDER IN ROMANS 14:1-23

[1] the days spoken of are associated with eating/drinking, not eating/not drinking.
[2] the matter is over those 'weak' and 'strong' in faith concerning eating/drinking and days to do and not do those things on

[3] the context deals with "One man esteemeth", and not what God esteems (Isaiah 56:1-8, 58:13; Psalms 89:34) as permanent and so, and God's word is clear about what men esteem: Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. The Jews continually argued over which were better days to do this thing or that thing, like fasting, feasting, etc: [Matthew 9:14; Mark 2:18; Luke 5:33, 18:12 KJB]

[4] the words for sabbath is not present in all of Romans 14, neither in all of Romans
[5] the words of the seventh day is not present in all of Romans 14, neither in all of Romans
[6] the words for the Lord's day is not present in all of Romans 14, neither in all of Romans
[7] Romans 14 is in the context of Romans 13, which directly cites the latter (2nd) table of the Ten Commandments, for love to neighbour, which is also found in Leviticus 19:17-18, in the context of sin and the Ten Commandments.

[8] Romans 15 is the other end, and when combined with 1 Corinthians 8-10, the context is clear that the sabbath of the LORD thy God (Exodus 20:8-11) is not in view in the least, and is sustained by the rest of Paul in Romans by his statements on the eternal spiritual, holy, just and good Law (Exodus 20:1-17) of God, which identifies what sin is (Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)

[9] the entire context of Romans 14 is to do nothing (even if allowed normally, yet not under special circumstances) to cause others to sin: Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

[10] Paul never contradicts himself, and Paul's writings are scripture (2 Peter 3:16), and scripture cannot be broken, John 10:35) and does not teach transgression of God's Law (Exodus 20:1-17) at any point:
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Romans7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I HAD NOT KNOWN SIN, BUT BY THE LAW: FOR I HAD NOT KNOWN LUST, EXCEPT THE LAW HAD SAID, THOU SHALT NOT COVET.

[11] the words for "law", "commandments" are never used in Romans 14
[12] Paul in numerous places lists and upholds every single one of the Ten Commandments in the NT, including the 4th Commandment (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11) in Hebrews 3-4, etc.

[13] Romans 14 is about excluding those things which were "doubful disputations", and not a single one of the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17) were ever doubtful or to be disputed in any place in all of scripture (KJB), for the Commandment of God are "sure" (Psalms 111:7).

[14] the words for "covenant/testament" are never used in Romans 14
[15] the words for 'first [day] of the week' are never used in Romans 14, neither in all of Romans
[16] none of the 'Sunday' (first [day] of the week) churches use Romans 14 to teach that I may ignore the day they gather on, even though that day is not sanctified by God in any way what so ever in scripture (KJB), and is never called "the Lord's day" in scripture, neither is it "the seventh day the sabbath of the LORD thy God".

[17] nobody uses Romans 14 to teach I can simply stop eating/drinking on every day
[18] anyone who quotes Romans 14, has in mind 'restrictions', rather than allowances

.................

CONCLUSION: There is nothing about God's 4th commandment anywhere in Romans 14. The scriptures are talking about food connected to days (eating and not eating (fasting) on days men esteem over other days. Not what days God esteems and judging others. The things that men esteem are an abomination in God's eyes.

LUKE 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God

There is no mention in all of ROMANS 14 of God's 4th commandment or any of God's 10 commandments. Many try and read this into the scriptures but it is just not there in all the chapter.

Hope this helps.

In Exodus 16:29 God also commanded not to go anywhere during Sabbath, do you follow this.

You are also not allow to cook or to clean or to move things, watching tv, using phones, buying or selling etc. Do you practice this : https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/95907/jewish/The-Shabbat-Laws.htm
So how do you practice the above commandments in Sabbath. Do you provide lamb offerings, bread, wine ? Etc.

Hi S78 nice to see you. Are you not reading the scripture responses sent to you already answering your questions? Your question in this post has already been answered *see post # 4 linked. Tell me what do you think the answer to the question you were asking is saying and what is it you do not believe? Do you agree or disagree and why? Genuine questions. I am just trying to understand what your thinking is as you have not really responded to any of our posts so far. So it is hard to know what your thinking.

No animal sacrifices as per Heb 10:4-11 which includes ritual "Sacrifice and offerings".
A most of the liturgy on feast days is performed by the priests - and Heb 7 says they ended at the cross.

In Numbers 28:9-10 God commanded lambs offering and bread and wine for Sabbath, how would Sabbath lovers practice this ?

It would be practiced in the temple by the presiding Levitical priesthood.

In Exodus 16:29 God also commanded not to go anywhere during Sabbath, do you follow this.

That commands not to go out to gather manna on the Sabbath and I have never gone out to gather manna.

You are also not allow to cook or to clean or to move things, watching tv, using phones, buying or selling etc. Do you practice this : https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/95907/jewish/The-Shabbat-Laws.htm

The Bible prohibits lighting a fire and buying and selling on the Sabbath, but whether it prohibits watching TV or using phones is a matter of interpretation.

Romans 14:5 says we should not judge those who don't practice sabbath. Even Romans 14:1-5 don't judge those who eat unclean meat.

The topic of Romans 14:1-5 stated in verse 1 is in regard to how to handle disputable matters of opinion, not in regard to whether followers of God should follow God, so nothing in the chapter should be interpreted as speaking against following what God has commanded, as if Paul had the authority to countermand God. In other words, what was only said in regard to doing things for which God has given no command should not be applied as speaking in regard to obeying the things that God has commanded.

Case in point, in Romans 14:1-3, it speaks about those who only eat vegetables, however, God has given no command to only eat vegetables, so choosing whether or not to do that is a disputable matter of opinion, yet you've applied that as speaking against obeying God's command to refrain from eating unclean meat.

In Romans 14:4-6, it speaks about those who eat or refrain from eating unto the Lord, so it is speaking about fasting. God has given no command to fast twice a week, but that had become a common practice in the 1st century (Luke 18:12), and those who esteemed certain days for fasting as a disputable matter of opinion were judging those who chose not to fast, which has nothing to do with whether to follow God's command to keep the Sabbath holy, which is precisely why the Sabbath isn't even mentioned once in Romans 14.

Peter Rebuked the Law in Acts 15:10 Now then why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the gentiles the yoke that neither we or our ancestors have been able to bear ?

In Deuteronomy 30:11-24, God said that His law is not too difficult to obey, so if Acts 15:10 had been referring to God's law instead of works of the law, then they would have been in direct disagreement with God, and would have therefore been wrong. Likewise, in 1 John 5:3, to love God is to keep His commandments, which are not burdensome. Furthermore, the Psalms express an extremely positive view of God's law, such as with David repeatedly saying that he loved it and delighted in obey it, so if we consider the Psalms to be Scripture and to therefore express a correct view of God's law, then we will share it, as Paul did (Romans 7:22), while the view that God's law is an unbearable yoke is incompatible with the view that Psalms are Scripture, and should not be imposed upon the authors of the NT who all considered the Psalms to be Scripture.

Jesus did not follow Sabbath, neither the disciples as they picked up grains on Sabbath day. Disciples followed Jesus not Sabbath like the pharisees.

It is lawful to pick up grains for our own consumption on the Sabbath, which is why Jesus defended his disciples as being innocent. Sin is the transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4) and God's law commands to keep the Sabbath holy (Exodus 20:8-11), so it is therefore a sin to break the Sabbath, and to suggest that Jesus broke the Sabbath is to suggest that he sinned and therefore to deny that he is our Savior. If you think that the disciples had broken the Sabbath, then you are joining in with the Pharisees in condemning the innocent.

Mark 2:28 says Jesus is the Lord of Sabbath so if we have Jesus we also have Sabbath every day. It means we should rest our heart in Holy Spirit every day.

If we believe that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, then we will live in a way that testifies about that truth by keeping the 7th day holy rather than a way that denies that he is Lord of the Sabbath by refusing to keep the Sabbath holy. A day that is holy is set apart and in order for something to be set apart there also needs to be something else that it is set apart from, so to treat every day the same is to treat none of them as being holy. If we did on every day what God wants us to do on the Sabbath, then we would do no work, but God also wants us to work. Jesus did not keep the Sabbath every day and said nothing about keeping the Sabbath every day instead of obeying God's command to keep the 7th day holy. In Romans 8:4-7, those who walk in the Spirit are contrasted with those who have minds set on the flesh who refuse to obey God's law, so refusing to keep the 7th day holy is refusing to walk in the Spirit.

The Hebrew of the desert did not have Jesus as the Lord of Sabbath, they did not receive Holy Spirit of Pentecost either, why return to the ancient desert Law not given for gentiles ?

In Psalms 119:160, all of God's righteous laws are eternal. In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and God's law is how his audience knew what sin is (Romans 3:20, 1 John 3:4), so repenting from our disobedience to it is an integral part of the Gospel message, which Jesus prophesied would be proclaimed to all nations (Matthew 24:12-14), and commissioned his disciples with (Matthew 28:16-20). Furthermore, Jesus set a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to God's law, and as his followers we are told to follow his example (1 Peter 2:21-22) and that those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked (1 John 2:6). So Jesus spent his ministry teaching his followers how to obey God's law by word and by example, including keeping the Sabbath holy, so Gentiles can look at what he taught and decided whether or not to become his follower, but Gentiles can't follow him by refusing to follow what he taught.

The above are your original OP questions they have been answered some time ago by other people in this thread and myself in post # 4 linked in regards to old covenant sin offerings. Your question in regards to Acts of the Apostles 15 was shown to be over the question is circumcision from the law of Moses a requirement for the salvation of new gentile believers as shown from the scriptures in post # 7 linked not is God's 10 commandments still the standard of good and evil with Paul sometime latter after the decision at Jerusalem, to the Corinthian gentile believers "Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing but the keeping of the commandments of God. While Romans 14:5 was addressed in post # 9 linked showing that Romans 14 is about eating or not eating on days that men esteem over other days. There is no mention of God's 4th commandment or any of God's 10 commandments in the entire chapter of Romans 14.

Now everything in this section of your OP was added in after all your original OP questions were answered by different people here already. I am just wondering why you went back to your OP and changed it by adding in everything in this section of your post above after everything in your original OP post was answered without letting anyone know? Anyhow I think @Soyeong has addressed the new questions you added into your OP after your original questions were answered. Is that all your questions now?

May God bless you as you receive His Words.

Genesis 17:9-14 God commanded circumcision do you follow ?

Absolutely, Jesus circumcised my heart in the new covenant to love the Lord my God with all my heart and my neighbor as myself. Circumcision is now fulfilled in Gods' new covenant promise in Hebrews 8:10-12 from Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Ezekiel 36:24-27. This is what Acts of the Apostles 15 was over (see post # 7 linked). Which is why Paul says sometime latter after the decision at Jerusalem to the Corinthians gentile believers, "Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing but the keeping of the of the commandments of God." - 1 Corinthians 7:19

The position of some posters appears to be this: Since Jesus's sacrifice clearly "completes" or "fulfills" the role played by animal sacrifices in the Law, we can see those things as "shadows" and set them aside. By contrast, I believe these posters are saying, the Sabbath is not about "sacrifice" for sin so there is no equivalent justification for seeing the Sabbath law as a shadow. Ok so far.

But why are you assuming, if indeed such posters are explicitly or implicitly making such an assumption, that "shadows' can only exist with respect to matters of "sacrifice"?

What if the rest offered by the Sabbath is a shadow of the rest offered in Christ as in "come to me all ye who are heavy-laden and I will give you rest"

What's good for the goose is good for the gander - if Jesus can "complete" laws focused on sacrifice why can He not also "complete" laws focused on rest?
