• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

If you have faith in the Lord and if you are actually put to death that is his plan for you. But if you are in a situation where you are being held captive or tortured just ask for help. Torture and suffering is allowed by god for some people for spiritual growth though.

I think of that guy who "went to hell" for 30 min ( I think it was just a warning and it was part of gods plan to have him come back to life and warn people ) he suffered for 30min in hell probably experiencing the worst fear and pain possible. But at the end of the day it was part of gods plan for him

I think the Biblical advice would be to Pray. I don't think the Bible implies there is some full proof way to get out of it. (Not if you mean physical death.) But we do have eternal life with Jesus.

What does the Bible says on what to do if your being put to death? How to get out of being put to death?
I don't understand your question? Are you talking about actual physical death or about putting to death the old self?

From what I have learned, you are to pray for those causing your death, and rejoice that you are coming home! Pray for those people non-stop and pray that the Lord is with you and when you leave your body, if you see dead relatives and loved ones, dont go with them! I have read that one of demons funnest tricks is to shapeshift into those you knew who died and then lead you someplace and then change into their true selves and laugh at the persons terror. No, you dont go with ANYONE until you see Jesus. You scream for Jesus with everything you have and you see Him first. Those things cannot pretend to be Him, and you will know Him by His blinding light.

We are to put to death the old man. The deeds of the flesh with its lusts. Jon Courson on YouTube calls it the crush. When your body is so heavy with conviction you feel like your going to die. It is a special time in the Lord to experience and not run from. Your depression could be doing it. It’s only temporary. I have sometimes. The lord is showing me what a sinner I am in truth. Not more than most but in general, that we need him and can do nothing of ourselves. Trust him is a lesson to learn.

It is very difficult to know how one will react under torture. If you accidentally drop a book on your foot, what are your first words? Mine would be: Ahhh! Ohhh!

The Bible suggests that we should pray for those who persecute us. I suppose that some "place" in a torture process, we (at least I) will shift between crying out in pain to praying to God for help and when remembering that I am supposed to pray for my persecutors, I will do that.

If I am taken captive to be executed, I suppose my body will tremble (that is naturally body responses in fear), but that I some "place" in this process will remember that the pain is only in my earthly body and that I will have a new body at the end of time. Since execution means that I am going to meet my Creator, I will hopefully try to pray about forgiveness and for God's mercy for all the sins I didn't even notice as such.
