This is a very specific prophecy by the Apostle John that tells us what to look for.
Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
The Apostle John is telling us that a beast was alive, he's now is not but yet is when he ascends out of the bottomless pit. What this is saying is that this beast will be reincarnated into a new image. This image is called the 8th king. The Bible in Revelation talks about the beast(ascends out of the bottomless pit) and his image(the 8th king's body).
The 8th king will receive a deadly wound in Revelation 13. People will say it's a miracle that he survived. He almost died several times. His body will be taken over by the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit.
This is why it's the 8th king but of the 7. It's a new image but it's taken over by 1 of the 7 that will ascend out of the bottomless pit. Who are these 7?
The Apostle John gives us a specific prophecy about the 7. He says:
Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
The one that is was Domitian. The Apostle John wrote Revelation in 95-96 A.D. according to most scholars.
The 5 that are fallen are Galba, Otho, Vetallius, Vespasian and Titus. Titus destroyed the Temple in 70 A.D.
The Apostle John predicted the short reign of Nerva who ruled after Domitian and would be the 7th king. He ruled for 15 months. The Apostle John then tells us that this 8th king will be of the 7.
Revelation 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
This is the beast that also kills the two witnesses.
Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
So the Apostle John is telling us something that I think is pretty clear.
There's an 8th king but he will not be a new king just a new body for 1 of the 7 Roman Emperors.
I think it will be Titus, Vespasian or Domitian but it could be any 1 of the 7 that will ascend out of the bottomless pit and take over the body of the 8th king who I think is on the world stage today. He will receive a deadly wound and that's when the beast will ascend out of the bottomless pit. This is when the tribulation will start.
The Bible tells us in Thessalonians that the Holy Spirit is restraining this beast from the sea from fully forming until this event happens and the lawless one takes over the body of the 8th king and is revealed.
2 Thessalonians 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
THANK YOU LORD!
