So I have a struggle to understand/view God the Father the way He is, like His character and stuff, because i view Him like my earthly father (short tempered, yelling, easly irritated, afraid of him). Can anyone describe Him to me?

And also: how do I forgive, i get offended easly and struggle to know that i truly forgave someone?

Hi @jelena.j4

So I have a struggle to understand/view God the Father the way He is, like His character and stuff, because i view Him like my earthly father

It's not unusual for us to see our heavenly Father like our earthly father. In fact, it's very common. Many don't realise it so it's great that you have.

Can anyone describe Him to me?

There's many ways we could describe the Father from His Word. But probably the best description is the Messiah. Because consider when we read in John's Gospel...

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
- John 14:8-9

And consider how the Messiah also said...

“For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”
—John 12:49-50

And, when He spoke to the Pharisees...

“I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world.”
— John 8:26

So if you want to know the Father, know the Son. For the Son exemplified the Father's words and attitude. To know the Son is to know the Father.

But beyond this, read His words in the prophets and Torah to hear His heart. What makes Him happy and sad and so on. It's a lifetime journey just as any good relationship is. So take your time and listen.

And also: how do I forgive, i get offended easly and struggle to know that i truly forgave someone?

Forgiveness is difficult at times but be eager to do it, just as eager as you wish the Father is to forgive you. Make the conscious choice to forgive, even if it doesn't feel legit at first. Guide your heart to forgiveness with patience and strength — like leading a wild stallion to water. Don't give up or think evil thoughts of that other person and Yahweh will see your heart. But if you choose not to forgive and harbour evil thoughts of that person, woe to you, as He will also know that. So proactively choose forgiveness, fight for it, and it will come in time.

I hope something in that helps.
Peace

Christ said of the Pharisees "you are like your father the devil - he was a liar... he was a murderer".
By contrast God is "our Father" who so loved the world of sinners and rebels - that He gave Himself to die for us. "God was IN Christ - reconciling the World to Himself" 2 Cor 5.

Imagine a mother who said to someone on death row - my son has asked permission that he might die in your place... I could not bear to think of such a thing - but I also love you my friend and I have decided to let my child do it...

That is the love of the Father for us.

In John 14 Jesus said "if you have seen me -- you have seen the Father - who is it then that you say - SHOW us the Father" -

Jesus said his word and actions describe to exact perfection - the Father.

John 1
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.... 18 No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.

Jesus said some need to think of God as they think of their mother "Can a mother forget her nursing child? Yes in extreme cases even these MAY forget but I will never forget you.. I have engraved you on the palms of my hands" Is 49:16

Read this book - and your view of the Father will change entirely --

The Desire of Ages —

You will see why He is called the "God of Love...for God IS Love"
