That first comment is great: Eugenecist. Hatred of humanity. Elite tyrant. Sociopath. Communofascist technocrat oligarchical transhumanist.

I do worry about my Twitter account being used against me, generally I'm afraid to even 'like' posts that go against the current groupthink. I believe we do still have freedom though, so long as we stay under the radar enough.

I've felt the chill in free speech too. Especially when cancel culture came around, but also with warnings from tech execs to get off social media (I figured they knew something I didn't).

You can't call it discrimination if it's not based on race, gender, etc... but based on you being you

If one is an unpleasant jackwagon, one reaps what one sows.

They already look at your personality to see if you'll be a good "team fit", but this seems to go far beyond that. It's creepy.

Like, "if you are not for us you are against us"?

... that's true. But, surely their A.I. algorithms will recognize that I'm only an irregular attender of Westboro Baptist. I don't go EVERY Sunday. Geez-louise! ^_^

They would know I was the one who linked all the paper clips together in Mr Millington's office back in Jr High. I heard he got really angry when he reached for one and a whole chain came up

Agreed. Some places are getting pretty nasty lately.

I'm confused.

You don't want to get treated differently for being yourself?

Do you want everyone to be treated exactly the same? Or do you just want to reap the benefits of your positive aspects and be shielded from any negative consequences of your actions?

I think it's unethical for two main reasons. One is the invasion of privacy, the other is pigeon-holing you into their version of you. As far as positive & negative aspects go, we all have both. The best teams are those that balance each others strengths & weaknesses. I've never met anyone that had all the skills necessary for a successful project, but even if they did, they wouldn't have the time.

I don't think it's an invasion of privacy if you blare your personality out into the world via social media.

I can see your point - what you give up of your own free will is fine.

One great Torah scholar was very weak and on the verge of leaving the world,

he was unsettled and nervous, his pupils could not understand why.

They assured him that such a rightous soul as he should have nothing to worry about.

He then told them, he had only anxiety for one question.

"Why where you Sushi not Sushi"?

So, the question, why were you not you,

can be worrisome when the time comes.

Edit,
Sushi is not the correct name I think more likely Sasha, but it serves as an example.

I can't think of anything sadder on your deathbed than the thought you were not you. On the other hand, I can't think of anything greater than you became someone else that someone needed out of love.
