Hi my name is Jared, I attend a local Baptist church as my home church.

my bible is a nkj version and I bought it on a Thursday October 19 2018 . At my cousins Christian bookstore.

I started reading in acts to Revelations.
So after that I started the four gospels
And I’m currently Matthew 18:15-20.
I read a passage a night so it’s taken me 4 years to get this far.

for some reason I stopped reading so on January 11 2022 I bought a scribbler to help keep track of my reading and I’d admit I wish I would have started that a long time ago because I’m finding a huge difference in my spiritual life.

since then I haven’t missed a night and like I said I only read a passage a night due to I often find it hard to stay focused.
I started writing what passage I have read and what I got out of it not to forget what I have to read the next night.

I also started doing the same thing with my bible study and Sunday morning service and if I can help it I attend two services and two studies a week but this last week I’ve started doing a study from Steven Lawson called the “bible study “ right now he’s doing romans and Romans so far is my favourite book.

I really like dr. rc. Sprouls and I listen to him while I’m at work ,Steven Lawson for when home and find myself wanting more scripture and Charlie Stanley when I can’t sleep.

my dad and two of my great uncles are Gideons. My late uncle was a minister and my great uncle still preaches at 80 something years old

Wow Jared how many generations is that in your family- the gospel. That should make it much more enjoyable and challenging. Welcome to the forum.
Three for sure I don’t know too much about the great grandparents but I think my grandmother’s parents were Nazarene. I actually really enjoy visiting my great uncles and talking about scripture. It was actually because of the church I have a relationship with them because because that they where just someone I saw once a year . They really kind of took me under their wings when I moved out on my own .

and thanks hopefully this page will help me grow even more in my faith .
