Both my grown sons have rejected me as a mother. They have severed their relationships with me. My oldest and I have always had ups and downs so I feel he will come around again. This is new territory with my youngest son. He refuses to communicate with me since his girlfriend moved in with him last year. I get hurt which turns to anger and then say mean things to him. I know it's wrong and I'm remorseful afterwards. I am new in my Christian journey so do not have much scripture knowledge. I have prayed that our relationship is restored....but nothing. Can you pray that Andrew S of Morgantown, WV will feel and know inside that I love him and want a relationship with him?

Hello @Lynn D, I see that you are brand new around here, so first off, WELCOME TO CF  I'm glad that you found us and that you joined in the discussions with us :)

I'm very sorry to hear that your sons have decided to sever their relationships with you at this time, but it's times like these, when we have to find a way to deal with such difficult things as this, that we Christians need to turn to God, patiently trusting that He will work out the difficult situation that we've found ourselves in in the best way possible .. e.g. Proverbs 3:5-6 (both for you and for your sons as well in this case), knowing that He has all things in His precious hands, and that He always wants the very best for all of us.

So, trust Him, lifting up your concerns to Him in prayer as often as you need to or feel led to do so.

Praying for you!

God bless you!! (Numbers 6:24-26)

--David
p.s. - if you have not done so yet, I would also advise you to give your pastor a call, or set up a time to meet with him, for his counsel, of course, and so that he too will know how he can be praying for you in a more specific way .. cf Hebrews 13:17.

Welcome to CF. It starts with self analysis which I believe you are doing.

Father, I pray for Lynn, that there will be restoration in the lives of both her and her children. Help them to remember all of the good things that their mother has done for them and hearts of forgiveness to overlook the bad things. I pray for Lynn to comfort her and give her peace while she waits on You in this time. In Jesus Name, Amen.
