It may relate to not seeing people as "a sin" but people as people. Jesus did say, people only come to a doctor when they are sick. People who came to Jesus of their on volition, the same isn't always true about the current order, though covid relaxed that a bit.

What Jesus said was:

11When the Pharisees saw this, they asked His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

He showed them compassion. He told them the way. But it’s an individual thing for outreaches. To screen out those who have no interest in godly living. At the soup kitchen the hear the word and then they can come to church if they want. Other people street witness and go out into the highways and byways saying come to church to hear the Word.
we can all do as you want @Michael Collum. But to say all gays come to church and reap a harvest of good things….. they are just not coming! And to say every sexually immoral person should come…. It’s just not happening because of our theology.
Gays are welcome if they want a new life and aren’t hustling lovers. Outreaches are happening to steer kids right. Homosexuality is still not the way to go.

There are probably gays sitting next to you in church already. How we would figure out about their sex life is a mystery to all of us. Scripture says you couldn't possibly discern it by looking.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Matthew 23:28
So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

You think you have Jesus point of view, you don’t know Jesus.
You're not Jesus, so you are unqualified to state who does and does not know Jesus.

I know of a huge non denomination that expanding their youth ministry to take care of this very group of people. They want to bring these into the church and lead these poor afflicted people in the way they should go because we don’t want to see them go to hell. This group wants to lift the blindness from their eyes using scripture , love and guidance.
Keeping in mind that homosexuality does not send anyone to hell. . .unbelief in Jesus as your Lord and Savior sends to hell.

But he didn’t read thrust of my post. A movement is starting in the church to give Michael exactly what he wants.

To give practicing homosexuals access to the ordinances without renouncing and repenting of (turning from) an ongoing sinful lifestye?

You didn’t read the rest of my post. I see your point. My non denomination is going to reach out to this generation. But it’s going to take time. This generation is worth saving. The dominoes are starting to fall. Unrepented homosexuality will send you to hell but they will save some. The hippies had a revival now one for this generation. OK? We want to be having faith and doing the Lords work when He comes. Just remembered!

Wow. . .

Will they do the same for openly practicing adulterers who not renounce and repent of (turn from) their ongoing sinful lifestyle?

we want them in the church to learn of God and His wonderful sacrifice that He made for all men and women. Outside the church they won’t hear. Some will hear.

Does it matter to them whether there is baptism and the Lord's Supper?

Probably not.

You must be careful how you build (1 Corinthians 3:12-15).

Your ministry will be blessed if you follow Scriptural instructions; e.g., 1 Corinthians 11:27-31,
requiring belief and worthy manner therein.

God takes this stuff seriously (1 Corinthians 3:14-15, 1 Corinthians 11:30).

Still not speaking to me. Whatever strawman you're speaking to, probably wouldn't listen either.

Is that what you would want if it was you instead?

The only way to get into Hell is to reject the Holy Spirit on judgment day.

What happened to going out and preaching the Gospel?

The early church in the first 5 chapters of Acts was not a public service anyway - only the saved dared to enter...
It was closer to the Church in China where Pastors are imprisoned.

We face all sorts of issues for insisting on a public service.

Folks don't 'Go out' and we end up preaching to the saved - how bizarre is that ?

It seems that record of the unsaved in the church was a development long after the church had lost its initial power and purity.

The church does not accept LGBT folks in church due to the sentiment "from the beginning it was not so"

The church does accept divorced people and even allows them to remarry, even though Jesus said remarrying equals adultery "because from the beginning it was not so"

Should the church be concerned about the acceptance of this, and similar hypocrisies? How does God tend to respond to hypocrisy when quoted directly in the bible?

Once you have one blind spot, many others crop up in that space, and become a thing all of a sudden. Might be worth a discussion.
Hypocrisy is saying the right things while doing the wrong things.

If the church rightly rejects homosexuality and its queer variants because it rightly believes these sins/statuses are wrong, then there is no hypocrisy. That is regardless of whether it has hypocrisy on other issues.

I think the divorce issue is not one of hypocrisy but of loose standards. They don't expect people to live up to the biblical standard, so they adjust it. It would only be hypocrisy if they preach against divorce, then allow it/close their eyes to it.

I personally would accept divorced people in the congregation, but not in the leadership. I base this on Jesus' acknowledgment that people's hearts are hard. It would be better if they did not divorce, but since they have, we should have mercy on them.

Also, some people are divorced against their will. I've had two different roommates in two different states say they were completely surprised when their wives literally walked out the door with their bags packed and divorce papers on the way.
