I’ve been working on this picture all day but have no idea what to draw on the flag. I want whatever I end up drawing on it to be a symbol of freedom. I was thinking Phoenix maybe? Or a Christian symbol? What do you think?

(ik the clothes look really weird, they’ll make more sense when they’re colored)

You're really talented. I really like the eyes and the details, right down to the tip of her tail.

Anyway, ever think of leaving the flag blank? A white flag can be a simple of truce. Her holding the white flag could be a representation of coming in peace, meaning no harm, which would be of Christian values. To an extension peace is freedom.

Also, I think less is more. Symbols are subjective and relative to culture. When I think of a Phoenix, I would think of it more like a war-bird. As my artistic sister just commented, Phoenix's typically represent rebirth or immortality. But she said, it should be 'subtle'.

If you don't want to leave it blank and if you decide to do something subtle, what about a zodiac sign? Or a flower?

signs of freedom in astrology

Aquarius, a fixed air sign ruled by Uranus, is truth and freedom itself, and will not be coerced otherwise.

The Bird of Paradise flower represents freedom and immortality.

Strelitzia is a symbol of thoughtfulness, joy and beauty.

It also represents freedom and immortality.

If it were me, I'd want what is on the flag to follow the contours on the flag, so I'd keep it simple.

Thank you so much!!!

I really like that idea! Idk if it’s because of the symbolism or just because I’m lazy lol. Either way, it’s a good idea!
