The JUDGMENT of the RIGHTEOUS is going on RIGHT NOW in Heaven. Jesus is going over THE BOOKS, examining EVERYTHING we have SAID & DONE, and deciding whether or not those who CLAIM to be His followers, truly are HIS FOLLOWERS. When Jesus comes the second time, He says, "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be." Revelation 22:12. We can see from that verse, that the JUDGMENT for the RIGHTEOUS will take PLACE BEFORE He returns to take us home to Heaven with Him, because He tells us that when He comes the 2nd time, He brings the REWARD with Him. That REWARD is ETERNAL LIFE to all those who have truly LIVED (and many have died) for Jesus.

And YES, the Bible teaches that we will be JUDGED by our WORKS ~ "And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.”" 1 Peter 1:17.The JUDGMENT for the WICKED takes place during the 1000 years, AFTER the RIGHTEOUS are taken to Heaven, and during that 1000 years, the righteous are "given the authority to judge" the wicked.

Just as there are TWO JUDGEMENTS, there are TWO RESURRECTIONS. The RIGHTEOUS DEAD come up in the 1st RESURRECTION and the WICKED DEAD come up in the 2nd RESURRECTION at the END of the 1000 years, after the RIGHTEOUS (who are now in Heaven) have gone over the all the books that contain everything the wicked ever said or did, and there are no questions in anyone's mind that God is 100% FAIR...that those who fall in the class of the wicked, truly are wicked and their REWARD will be the SECOND DEATH.

Resurrection of the Saints.jpeg

Rev 20:3 The angel threw him into the bottomless pit, which he then shut and locked so Satan could not deceive the nations anymore until the thousand years were finished. Afterward he must be released for a little while.

Rev 20:4 Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They all came to life again, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Rev 20:5 This is the first resurrection. (The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.)

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.

We go to heaven.

You are incorrect the dead do not go to heaven of hell upon death

Revelation 22:12
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

if the dead are in heaven or hell then they have already recieved their reward thus the above statement by Jesus is a lie

The above statement implies that Jesus Christ has preformed a judgment of every man to determine their reward.

YOU really need to have a biblical understanding of death and not the lie told by satan to Eve "you shall surly not die"

https://amazingdiscoveries.org/S-deception_dmortalityeath_soul_doctrine

Immortality
Of the Bible's 1700 references to the soul and the spirit, neither the soul or spirit is ever declared to be immortal or eternal. In fact, 1 Timothy tells us that only God is immortal. The doctrine of the immortality of the soul is full of false hope and negates the message of death. If humans continue to live—albeit in an altered state—then there is no need for the atoning death of Christ. Christ died to restore life to those who had forfeited it through sin.

The lie of satan is manifested in this common belief of soul immortality and fulfilles his lie

Genesis 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

We are all born to die. It's all part of the plan. Life is a gift from God, so is salvation and eternal life, but in between this earthly life and eternal life it's necessary to die. He does away with one that He may bring forth the other. Plenty of us die in our sleep and are not aware of it happening to us. It's not necessarily anything that we know about.

We have to put off this old body in order to be clothed with our new and glorified body like unto His own glorified body. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in the twinkling of an eye. When we see Him we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is. Why do we fear death when we trust in Him?

PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE IN TRADITIONAL THEOLOGY

According to traditional theology, our souls are judged at death. There are some variations to all of this depending on Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican. Orthodox would say that you pass through a series of allegorical "tollhouses" where you may be pulled away by demons but are guarded by your angel. Catholics would say that you might pass through some purgatorial state. Lutherans and Anglicans will say that you are immediately judged. In any case, the soul enters a foretaste of heaven or hell until the final judgement when our souls are reunited with our resurrected bodies.

what happens when believers die, in terms of judgment what happens?
John 3:18 …
believe = NO JUDGEMENT
no believe = already judged.

Romans 8:1 …
in Christ = NO CONDEMNATION

Believers are judged at The Judgment seat of The Messiah, their works are judged for rewards.

No believer is judged to see if they are a believer and have received God's free gift of Eternal Life. They are only judged in a relationship toward rewards.

The first time is when you were born physically with the umbilical cord still attached.

oh I remember you now, maybe you have changed over the last few years but back then you believed abortion is ok. sorry that means its difficult for me to listen to anything you say as being Biblical.

thank you for replying to my question. I will need to process what you have said in your posts because I am learning or trying to, what happens. because that determines how I will live the rest of my life.

like Jesus we are walking out our destiny ... Judgement is always unto victory ... which is to say God counted the cost to build His house ... we are His house ... or said another way same truth, He finds His rest in us as we do in Him ...

My issue with abortion is people want to punish women after they do it, not prevent the problems women have that make them necessary and show respect the way Jesus would. It is not that I like abortions and think women should get them, but the fact that states are working backwards: banning abortions with no plans or programs in place to help pregnant women get the counseling, health insurance, jobs, child care, and housing they need, among other things. Punishing women because they needed to do it will not lower the number of abortions. Helping them the way Jesus would do it will.

What happened to the Golden Rule? "Do to others as you would have them to do you." Jesus said that.
