Russia Preparing for War.

"Russia = people of the north" was some 1980's theology, made popular by the cold war. I'm surprised it's still around.

What recognized dispensational futurist, e.g. a Hagee, Jeremiah, Lindsey, etc., has ever espoused the view that Russia is in Joel 2?

The cold war (which could quickly turn hot) is very much alive and well amongst Washington warmongers and the evangelicals who use them for prophetic fantasy feedstock.

They antecedent of them and they in verse 4 is the people in verse 2.

You've been telling us that Joel 2 is about Russia invading Israel.

That leaves only one possibility for the identity of the people in verse 2.

The Russians.

Who, we are told, look like horses and run like horsemen.

With which dispensational futurism agrees, because it believes Scripture literally.

It just means that their army moves quickly - metaphorically quick like soldiers on horses compared to solders on foot.

Give it a couple decades and China will be the new super power.

In Ezekiel 38:2 and 39:6, Gog the king of Magog is described as an enemy of God's people. He is the leader of the host that would attack restored Israel (Ezekiel 38:2, 14-19), but he will meet his end “after many days” (Ezekiel 38:8).

God will destroy Gog. God shows in this prophecy that Israel does not battle at all. Gog stands as a symbol of the leader of rebellion—Satan himself.

The rebellious people will come back to life when the thousand years was over (Revelation 20:5).

The resurrection of the rebellious of all ages will loose Satan's chains of circumstances, and he will spurn on the resurrected millions to take the Holy City (the New Jerusalem), which will come down from heaven, in one final effort to retain power (See Zechariah 14:4-5, Revelation 21:2,10).

It's called lignostone, and it's been around for at least 40 years. Dispens were quick to seize on to it back then in a desperate search for Russian burnable weapons to support the fallacies and fantasies about Russia in Ezekiel 38-39.

Predictably, it was another farce.

No credible battlefield evidence of its use in Russian weaponry has ever been shown.

That sure would make them easy targets just employ flame throwers and incendiary bombs. So they probably wouldn't go in all wood armor, Russians are smarter than that.
