But you’ll need a telescope to see Asteroid 7482. Which will pass about 1.2 million km from Earth on Jan. 18. It was discovered in 1994 and is now making its closest visit near our planet. It’s a big rock—3280 ft in size (2 1/2 times the height of the Empire State Bldg.) It won’t endanger the JWST which is orbiting 300,000 km further away. But I wonder if it could get some images.
Pretty cool. If I’d known it was coming, I would’ve asked for a telescope for Xmas, instead of a new grill.
