Your information is wrong. Check the latest stats. Virtually everyone and his brother - vaccinated or not, boosters or not - got Covid in December. Status was irrelevant.

But this isnt' true. Everyone I know (including my brother) *didn't* get COVID in December. In fact, none of them did, including the one person who was unvaccinated and sick with something else. (Tested negative.)

The current rate is about 1 million new cases per day. Even if there are 4 additional unknown cases (either untested, or unreported positive home tests) for each official case, it will still take 10 weeks for all Americans to get infected.

Stick with collected statistics, not anecdotes.

All right. Perhaps it has swept through your area or is still to come. I know dozens - of all statuses, including triple vaxxed - who got it. Even Congress and Hollywood had loads of people who got it. I think that is relevant since it was all over the news.

• Those who had been vaccinated were less likely to be infected.
• Those who had been vaccinated were less likely to be symptomatic.
  
• Those who had been vaccinated were less likely to be admitted to hospital.
• Those who had been vaccinated were less likely to require intensive care.
• Those who had been vaccinated were less likely to be intubated.
• Those who had been vaccinated were less likely to die.
• And those who had booster shots were less likely to experience any of the effects than those with only one or two shots.

This isn't rocket science.

The points mentioned above about vax and non-vax seem to, not be the case with the omnicron virus, based on evidence coming out of Australia and parts of America. Interesting to see how it turns out.

The points above are based upon the progress of the Omicron virus in South Africa, the UK and the US.

It also isn't provable. They just keep repeating it. Yet people with multiple jabs have been getting sick all over the place. Some symptomatic, like AOC and several other Congressional types, and some not.

Status irrelevant.

We've moved from "YOU ARE PROTECTED and the virus stops with you" (falsehood told by Rachel Maddow and others) to "You probably won't die."

Neither did the millions who already had it asymptomatically and the other millions who had some symptoms and stayed home. That is reality. Sure, a small subset was always vulnerable and would have been so regardless.

There are scores of reports by researchers from well established universities and government agencies. A single report would not justify the assertions I made in my post. To do so on the basis of one report would be negligent in the extreme.

These are not complex statistics, they're basically just addition and taking percentages. Such figures are available from more than one source, you don't have to trust a single authority. They all give broadly the same results.

But, of course, if you want to push a different story, you have to cast doubt on or deny the evidence... in which case no story carries any more weight than any other, so sophistry and rhetoric (especially fallacious arguments, appeals to emotion, poisoning the well, hasty generalisation, arguments from incredulity, etc.) are the only way to persuade. Then, yay! conspiracy theories rule!
