if you interpert the 70 week prophecy as 490 years why would you change that standard in the 2300 day prophecy

The Day-Year Principle
Prophecies are couched in symbolic language that needs to be unraveled before the meaning of the words can be understood. Prophetic time is used as a symbol to be interpreted in the light of Scripture.

According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, namely forty years (Numbers 14:34 NKJV).

I have appointed thee each day for a year (Ezekiel 4:6).

These two texts provide the key—the day-year principle. This principle takes prophetic days and converts them to actual years. Applying this principle to the 70-week prophecy will show that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah.

The 70-Week Prophecy | Daniel 70 Weeks Prophecy
In Daniel 9 it is a set of days, or a set of years. In other chapters it is just a length of time, not sets. Daniel 9:27 is a set of days, not years.

Jesus as Christ and Prince is the 70th week. The 70th week is not even a "period of time", but the earthly ministry of Jesus the Lamb of God.

The 70th week started when Jesus was obedient to God and baptized by John the Baptist. Jesus has completed the Christ/Messiah half of the 70th week. The Prince half is still future at the Second Coming. It will not even be 3.5 years. That time will be cut short, because it is the Tribulation promised to Israel and the whole world, known in the Gospel parables as the final harvest, when Jesus brings all the angels to earth.

are you saying that your private interpertation of scripture is the accrurate one?
Any interpretation of Daniel is a private interpretation, even if billions of people agree to this private and personal opinion.

Jesus Himself employed it.

Luke 13
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
What happened in 33AD?

Jesus reign is in heaven not on this earth
He tells us He will Return; Revelation 1:7
Then Jesus will reign on earth for the next thousand years. Revelation 20:4
No I have not shared it and I will not as it has non biblical content
So SDA people don't believe in historical facts?
There are extra-Biblical writings that Jesus did exist. Do you believe them?

Obviously you have never read the Apocrypha.
I admit that some parts of it are suspect, but most is useful information and homilies.
You admit that at least "some parts of it are suspect", so why would you trust any of it?

Maccabees is simply a historical record, so your dismissal of it shows a lack of discernment.
You show a lack of discernment by trusting in writings that you "admit that some parts of it are suspect".

That there will be a new Temple in Jerusalem, is perfectly clear from many Bible verses. Deniers of this truth are just trying to tell God what they think He wants.
We can use scripture to determine what God wants or doesn't want. And He certainly doesn't want to dwell in any useless, meaningless future physical temple.

Acts 17:24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.

As I plainly stated; The Apocrypha is useful for history, information and homilies.
You show a lack of discernment by trusting in writings that you "admit that some parts of it are suspect".
Is it lacking in discernment to read Plato? Or Gibbon?
You SJ: are not lacking in rude remarks and disgusting accusations.
He certainly doesn't want to dwell in any useless, meaningless future physical temple.
You display a serious lack of understanding of what God has told His people of His requirements of them in the end times.

you Are reading something into this verse that is not there
Revelation 20:4.....and they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
This prophecy comes after Jesus has Returned.
quite the contrary SDA are Historists
Believe the historical facts in Maccabees; then.

SDA false teachings;
1/ The 2300 evenings and mornings are future. Or had something to do with 1844 AD.
2/ There will be no Millennium reign of Jesus on earth.
3/ People who worship God on any other day that Saturday, are sinners.

Otherwise SDA's are good people and their belief in Jesus will ensure their Eternal Salvation. John 3:16

Believe the historical facts in Maccabees; then.

Why then are they not in the bible today?

The Apocryphal books were not considered part of Scripture by the Bible compilers, because they clearly contradict Biblical truths, as can be seen in the following examples:

Clashing Canons - Catholic Scripture, Catholic Bible, Apocrypha,Vulgate & Protestant Bible

1/ The 2300 evenings and mornings are future. Or had something to do with 1844 AD.

Not in the future as they ended in 1844 which is 2300 years from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem

Daniel 8:14
And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

The word determined means to cut off. Therefore, this 70-week time period is cut off from the 2300-day prophecy. For whom is the prophecy cut off (Daniel 9:24)

The 70-Week Prophecy | Daniel 70 Weeks Prophecy

2/ There will be no Millennium reign of Jesus on earth.

The description of the earth after the coming of Christ, given by the prophet Jeremiah, is an apt description of the formless and void earth:

I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld and lo the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, by His fierce anger (Jeremiah 4:23-26).

3/ People who worship God on any other day that Saturday, are sinners.

This statement shows how little you know about a SDA beliefs

The Pope is calling for the world to acknowledge and honor Sunday as a day of rest. Legislation that will force the world to worship and rest on Sunday would be the ideal solution. There are many voices clamoring to fulfill exactly such a goal, using the economy, the environment, and even the family as reasons to legislate Sunday rest.

Another standoff is on the horizon. Those who refuse to give up the Biblical seventh-day Sabbath will face trials as tough as the furnace faced by Shadrach and his companions. However, we can hold fast hope, knowing that the God who spared the Israelite men from the fiery furnace is coming again soon.

Towards Global Sunday Law

The final test for mankind has not yet happend when the above statement is fulfilled then those that choose to follow it will be lost, untill then sinners can repent for the breaking of GOD's law.

Exodus 20
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Is it really? How do you know that? You admit that at least some of it is suspect. How do you know that more of it is suspect than what you even realize?

Is it lacking in discernment to read Plato? Or Gibbon?
You SJ: are not lacking in rude remarks and disgusting accusations.
LOL. So, you can accuse me of lacking in discernment and that's fine. But, if I accuse you of that then I'm making "rude remarks and disgusting accusations". Okay, buddy. Whatever you say.

You display a serious lack of understanding of what God has told His people of His requirements of them in the end times.
Should I take this to be a rude remark and disgusting accusation or are only you allowed to take things that way?

Yes. You should actually read the Apocrypha yourself. Here is some very telling verses from the Prophesies of Ezra:
2 Esdras 1:22-23 These are the words of the Lord Almighty: When you were in the wilderness, suffering thirst by the stream of bitter water and cursing Me, I did not send fire on you for your blasphemies, instead I told Moses to cast a log into the stream and make the water sweet.

2 Esdras 1:24 What shall I do to you, O Jacob? You, Judah, would not obey me. I will turn to other nations and will give them my Name, and they will keep my statutes.

2 Esdras 1:25-26 Because you have forsaken me, I also will forsake you. When you implore me for mercy, I will show you none. When you pray to me, I will not listen to you; for you have defiled your hands with blood, and your feet are swift to commit murder.

2 Esdras 1:27 It is not that you had forsaken me; you have forsaken yourselves, says the Lord.

2 Esdras 1:28-29 Thus says the Lord Almighty: Have I not pleaded with you as a father pleads for his sons or a mother her daughters or a nurse her children, so that you should be my people and I should be your God, and that you should be My children and I should be your father?

2 Esdras 1:30 I gathered you as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But now, what am I to do with you? I shall cast you out from my presence.

2 Esdras 1:31 When you offer me sacrifice, I shall turn from you; for I have rejected your feasts, and new moons, and circumcisions of the flesh.

2 Esdras 1:32 I sent you my servants the prophets, but you have taken and killed them and mutilated their bodies; for their murder I shall call you to account, says the Lord.

2 Esdras 1:33-34 Thus says the Lord Almighty: Your house is forsaken; I will drive you out as the wind drives straw; and your sons will have no children, because with you they have neglected my commandments and have done what is evil in my sight.

2 Esdras 1:35-36 I will give your houses to a people yet to come, a people who will trust me, though they have not known me, who will do my bidding, though I gave them no signs. They have seen no prophets, yet will keep in mind what the prophets taught of old.
[The Christian peoples; from every tribe, race, nation and language.]

2 Esdras 1:37 I call to witness the gratitude of the people that is to come, whose children rejoice with gladness; though they do not see Me with bodily eyes, yet with the spirit they will believe the things I have said. [all the faithful Christian believers]

2 Esdras 1:38-40 And now, father Ezra, look with pride and see the people coming from far away; to them I will give as leaders Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and Hosea and Amos and Micah and Joel and Obadiah and Jonah and Nahum and Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi, who is also called the messenger of the Lord.

My interpretation of the 2300 days begins with the invasion of the temple by Antiochus IV in 169 BC and ends in 162 BC with the granting of religious freedom for the Jews under the reign of Antiochus V, when a weak peace was accepted by the Jews. The Hellenization ended.

We get the impression that when the temple was cleansed and rededicated it was operating as it should be.This is not completely true since during the Times of the Gentiles, no temple could operate correctly without the approval of the Gentile kings or emperors. No matter how successful the Maccabees were in battle, a truly independent religion and state for Jews was not possible. Same as today, the Maccabees depended upon powerful allies, namely Rome at that time, to maintain their political position in the struggle between competing superpowers of the era. The Jews of today still exist in the Times of the Gentiles until Rev10:6 is fulfilled in the future.

The time of fulfilment:
Tobit, an Israelite living in Nineveh from the tribe of Naphtali, writing circa 550BC – after both the ten Northern tribes of Israel and Judah were taken into exile.

Tobit 14:4 God’s Word will come true, everything spoken against Nineveh by Nahum the prophet has happened. All of His Word spoken by the prophets of Israel will happen in their due time. Not a Word will fall short. I know, I am convinced that every prophecy will be fulfilled. Our countrymen [all the Israelites] are scattered and in exile out of their good Land. The whole of the Israel territory will be laid waste and for a time the House of God will be in mourning, burnt and destroyed.

Tobit 14:5 Our God will have mercy on them [Judah] again and bring them back to the Land of Israel. They will rebuild the House of God, yet not as it was at first, not until the time of fulfilment comes. Then ALL the Israelites will return from exile and rebuild Jerusalem in splendor, then indeed, the Temple will be built there, as the prophets have foretold.

The Jewish remnant under Nehemiah, built the Second Temple, but not as great as Solomon’s Temple. When the ‘time of fulfilment comes’, then ‘all the Israelites’, that is: every faithful Christian, will build the Third temple in splendour.’ Zechariah 1:16-17 This must happen before the return of Jesus, as 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no one deceive you, that Day cannot come until the Adversary enthrones himself in God’s Temple. Daniel 9:27

Tobit 14:6-7 At the time of the end, people will renounce their idols, which led them astray, into error. In true worship of God, they will praise him in righteousness. All the Israelites who survive at that time and are firm in their loyalty to Y’hovah, will be brought together, they will come to Jerusalem to take possession of the Land of Abraham and they will live there, in peace and security, forever. Those who love God in sincerity will rejoice and sinners and wrongdoers will fade away.

’People will renounce their idols”- The dramatic event that will cause this change, will be the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, the next prophesied event to take place on earth. It will be a terrible fire judgement, in the form of coronal mass ejection. Isaiah 30:26

Israelites who survive, will be brought together, to take possession of the Land.’’ This is the Second Exodus, the Lord’s Christian people will gather and live in all that area promised to Abraham. They will build a great Temple and will rebuild and develop all of the new country of Beulah, in wealth and prosperity. Ezekiel 39:25-29, Zechariah 8:12

Haggai 2:6-9 The Lord says: In a little while, I shall shake the heavens and the earth, I shall shake all the nations and their treasure will come here. Mine is the silver and the gold and the splendor of the latter House will surpass that of the former. In this land, I will grant prosperity and peace. Amos 9:13-15

Zechariah 8:9 Take heart, all you who now hear that the temple will be rebuilt as the prophets foretold. Zechariah 6:15

Tobit 14:8-9 My children, I give you this instruction: serve the Lord in truth and do what is pleasing to Him. Teach your children to do what is right and give alms. Be mindful of your God and praise Him in sincerity.
