In Daniel 9 it is a set of days, or a set of years. In other chapters it is just a length of time, not sets. Daniel 9:27 is a set of days, not years.if you interpert the 70 week prophecy as 490 years why would you change that standard in the 2300 day prophecy
The Day-Year Principle
Prophecies are couched in symbolic language that needs to be unraveled before the meaning of the words can be understood. Prophetic time is used as a symbol to be interpreted in the light of Scripture.
According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, namely forty years (Numbers 14:34 NKJV).
I have appointed thee each day for a year (Ezekiel 4:6).
These two texts provide the key—the day-year principle. This principle takes prophetic days and converts them to actual years. Applying this principle to the 70-week prophecy will show that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah.
The 70-Week Prophecy | Daniel 70 Weeks Prophecy
Jesus as Christ and Prince is the 70th week. The 70th week is not even a "period of time", but the earthly ministry of Jesus the Lamb of God.
The 70th week started when Jesus was obedient to God and baptized by John the Baptist. Jesus has completed the Christ/Messiah half of the 70th week. The Prince half is still future at the Second Coming. It will not even be 3.5 years. That time will be cut short, because it is the Tribulation promised to Israel and the whole world, known in the Gospel parables as the final harvest, when Jesus brings all the angels to earth.
