Is it weird for a Church to decide to hide its bulletins from guests?

Of course it is:preach:

In other words, the flock he tends to, are the committed and devout

The words are there to edify those who understand what he means

and not for the half hearted and lukewarm, who could easily take offense:tutu:

No doubt he has to deal with complainers like Father Z has had to deal with!

Why waste time and energy printing off bulletins if they will be used against him by modernist, non committed, luke warm, cafeteria Catholics who are not all in and looking for drama?

Hes trying to say GET OFF THE FENCE :priest:

I mean, what's the point of printing them if they're just going to stash them away somewhere? Seems like a waste of time and money all the way around. Maybe they ought to just print one sheet with a QR Code and have everyone scan it with their phone if they want to see updates.

That and/or sign up for Flocknote.
I was referring to the online bulletins only.

I was just rereading this and thought maybe it just tongue in cheek? You know, kind of the Fr. Z vibe?
Not sure what you mean lol.

Tongue in cheek :
  1. in an ironic, flippant, or insincere way.
"one suspects that he is writing with tongue in cheek"

In other words he is joking or poking fun.

there are people who are looking to take offense

I'm all In when it comes to being a committed, Catholic.

And so are good, devout Catholic priests like Father Z, who was attacked and harassed by weak, cowardly Archbishops and their Priest Hunting activities!!

Not every human being owns one of those idiotic dumb-phones.
And people who do not use those idiotic phones should also have a right to live.

Show me where I said otherwise.

Well - I definitely don't want to risk this thread becoming heated. To be honest the priest at the "weird" church makes things political. I don't make things personal against those who vote for Trump (I did not vote for Biden) but this priest, in previous bulletins, makes/made his Trump support like a mantra for his parish. I think he bases it off of abortion, but something tells me it's more of a "Trump" church than a Church whose homilies should be apolitical IMHO. In previous bulletins he has said that all non-Catholics are not part of the Church (even imperfectly). He declares all of them unsaved. He also calls the covid crisis a fake crisis and has an "anti-covid vaccine" mantra as well. I think he bases it off of the fetal-cells argument, and I suppose that's something to think about but it looks like in order to be a member in good standing with his parish, you must support Trump, you must believe that the covid crisis is fake, and that you must believe that the vaccine is evil no matter what. He doesn't deny that covid is real, but he says that it's not as big of a deal as people make it. I guess that's a matter of opinion, but the problem is, people (namely the parishioners) might start treating this priest/church like a cult following more than a house of God.

Perhaps this may look (to others) like a priest who is audacious enough to express "hard truths" but something tells me it's more like a cult. I think what draws people to the parish is that it's a Latin Mass, but the parish I'm in right now does have a Latin Mass on the first Sunday of every month (and his service is far more beautiful than that of the "weird" priest), so it's not like I can't get it otherwise.

We don't have another day promised to us ladybug, so right now, my best intentions are for you to concentrate on your state of grace and working on your first confession.

Let the politics and other rough stuff go if it confuses and upsets you, for now at least.

Right now, focus on whats the most important to your being received into the Holy Catholic Church.

This is all about becoming a bride of Christ and loving Him through uniting with Him.

Actually, he sounds like the kind of priest I would probably like as I believe EXACTLY as he does, except I do believe that Covid crisis is very real, but now, everyone is carrying it way to far. I love Trump and I am DEFINITELY anti vax, especially the ones they are using now, there is only one I would take is Novavax but it looks like New Zealand isn't going to get it, all they have are the dangerous ones (dangerous in my opinion and many other's as well.) God bless you.

I have nothing against what you said; I think the principal problem I had was what I told you about in the email. :)
