If we go back 2000 years, what would Israel say ?
The same as they say and do till this day.
They are not humbled until this day, as that is what is required first....
Jeremiah 44:10 They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
Instead of doing, as we see all he words and examples of the Apostles, the people who talk, decide that talk is all they need to do, and ignore the doing parts?
Paul explains ( against Israels way of no faith in the Messiah) how it is not by our own righteousness ( not believed in as they are no humbled until this day)
The law teaches us, our own righteousness ( it is pride for them then)
What else explains all the disputing they did with Christ and how that disputing is still done till this day by them ?
Is it any wonder that Jesus pointed out to the rich Jewish man that to have treasure in heaven was by giving away all he owned ( and loved) and of course it is famous how rich people in society very much include Jewish people ( Banks, also in the making of films etc).
So far away then ( in faith) is the way of Christ against these ways of man.
Israel is fast to maintain their law ( as seen in them against Christ) but how many can give away their precious wealth and heir lives to serve and find God as told below..
Philippians 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
How can anyone understand the law of Christ then, when the law of Moses taught pride, wealth, hatred, and death, death for all who did not continue in the curse, by being pretenders in a law nobody ever kept.
They wanted the law to continue ( and want the law kept now in their partial way) by wanting circumcision on the Gentiles. Circumcision is not in their pride to have glory of men in the flesh, it is in the heart only to God.
They want division of what to eat maintained. Hey denied preaching and warning the Gentiles that way, as the Gentiles were cleansed so all is clean.
They want the sabbath kept, by Jesus, but man was made under a curse, and part of that curse was the sabbath keeping, was all that was the law.
Christ freed us from the curse of the law, freed us from the law, and Jesus nailed the curses to His tree, this is to rightly divide the word of truth, as all Jesus did in the law ended then ( the accusations in the law were nailed to the cross and the law is taken away to establish the second right then, as Gods will is the sacrifice of Christ to establish faith)
Fruit is done when the corn of wheat fell into the ground and died, the law taught men to fear death and that they will die. Faith teaches instead to not fear and to believe that Christ rose form the dead( this takes your fear of death away if you understand me, so that you now can bear the same fruit to God)
Acts 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
Hebrews 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
The same as they say and do till this day.
