The Sonic the Hedgehog movie

Wow! That was good! It was amazing! I'll be honest, I've only played Sonic games a little bit, am not too familiar w/ the lore, & was expecting this movie to be eh. I got the opposite. So I'm not sure how accurate it is to the lore, but I enjoyed it anyways. It's entertaining. It's just a good movie, you don't have to be a Sonic fan to enjoy it & I'm guessing Sonic fans enjoyed it.
One thing I want to say, Jim Carrey steals the show as Dr Robotnik, but this is classic Jim Carrey & it's not over the top like it is in a lot of his movies. It's played serious.
Ugh, I want to see the next one in theaters!!

I think this will be on hidden gem lists. There are elements of an unusual friend type film, like E.T. or a closer comparison would be Short Circuit, combined with a questioning your reality theme using the idea of a world where stars are hidden and people aren't supposed to look up. I liked the animation and felt the script was a good balance between heartfelt and thought provoking.

Teen Titans Season 1

I tried watching last year & couldn’t get into it even tho I loved this show growing up. I tried it again last week. Yes, the first few episodes are slow, but once those are done the season picks up. The first good episode is the one where Cyborg is being ‘repaired’ by Fixit. I like the Mad Mod stuck-in-an-illusion-world episode. Despite having a slow start, I like the Aqualad episode b/c it takes place entirely underwater. Plus final few Slade episodes. This show has a nice mix of drama, action, & comedy, plus it’s ‘dark’ mood is welcome. It was definitely a good choice returning to it.

Resident Evil (2002). Been ages since I've watched this movie. First time watching it was at a sleep over. I remember during the famous laser hall scene my friend warned me how graphic and disturbing it was... and screamed that I should close my eyes... but I watched it anyways and I was like "ehh.. what's so disturbing about that?" The Marylin Manson soundtrack was cool though.

They're pretty dumb movies, with corny acting... but they're fun in their own right. I've only seen about four of them. Maybe I'll get around to finishing the film series. Those movies went on forever... lol.

I will say the special effects of the laser scene were really good for 2002. Even compared to today's standards. Wonder if they used wax models? I know they can be especially lifelike.
