Yeah, that's what made it a certainty. I'm just glad we at least got about 6 weeks or so advance notice instead of him informing us the day before or something like that.

The end of the world is definitely in Feb/Mar, 3146! Just not sure of the exact day or hour.

I think of it as the bureaucratic official end. Basically, the forms declaring the world is over are signed in haven, put in the official record, and filed in a filing cabinet. So if anyone asks, it's "officially" over according to heaven's legislation even though it may appear that things continue as normal.

Yes, numerology can be the devil's 2L.

But in all seriousness, I hope the Lord is able to communicate to this brother how important it is to avoid date-setting. The times and the seasons are in God's hands, and most often He reserves to Himself the timing of things. ...Not always, but most often.

I know that often God uses numbers to express His design in arranging things. It shows He is in charge of everything that happens, and weaves patterns into the evolution of an intelligently-controlled life.

But for the person of faith this is just a sign to us that God is in charge. In no way is it some kind of code for us to figure out so that we can become a "prophet" to the world! This would be pride, plain and simple.

God uses numbers, undoubtedly. But let's keep this in perspective. Let God be God--He doesn't need us to predict things when our current mission is plain, and should not be distracted--we are to live godly lives and witness to the Christ in our lives so that others can obtain faith in him as well. Trying to prophesy things that are outside the range of redemption is distracting and dangerous.
