Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Christians often sincerely focus on what we can and should do as Christians. This can lead us to become like the Pharisees. This was what was happening to the Galatians. We should show the love of Christ but avoid a sort of "rule following" that can become an obstacle to Christ-likeness.
