Regarding if faith can be taught by peoples opinion in a dictionary.concordance.
Firstly consider Abraham and who taught him ? No person can, otherwise being the father of faith would make no sense (nobody taught Noah who is the heir of the righteousness which is by faith, Hebrews 11:7, nor did any person teach any of the prophets of God, God taught and instructed all of them by His Spirit in them)....
Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Also consider no man in any opinion of dictionary or concordance is anything to do with anyone's faith, Jesus Christ alone is the author of our faith ( by His Spirit in us or we follow and believe what we or others think)..
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Next consideration is, it is God that gives us and we then who obtain that precious faith, through the righteousness (grace) of God, our Saviour Jesus Christ..
2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Concordances and a dictionary give information, information is not faith. We all have knowledge but it is charity ( the love of Christ) that edifies and gives understanding...
1 Corinthians 8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
Foe remission ( the propitiation of our sins) we need the knowledge of salvation ( to believe in)
That word is what was testified, which is repentance towards God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
To receive forgiveness of sins ( propitiation and Christ to be our advocate with the Father) we need to be turned from darkness to light, away from satan's power, to be sanctified by faith that is in Christ.
Christ is set for a propitiation for our sins, through faith in His blood...

That is the righteousness of faith.
That is us being justified by faith.
Faith comes by hearing, the word of God ( for the righteousness which is of faith to be justified by faith)
The sound went into all the world, but faith is required to hear the testimony of Christ.
Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
Should our faith stand in the wisdom of men ( in dictionaries and concordances, and men's advise especially when so many deceivers are here now ?)
No our faith only should stand in demonstration of the Spirit, not in words anyone can speak and any person can know.
The wisdom of this world is not spoken to believe in, but the wisdom of God in a hidden mystery....
1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

As said previously, God is our one Father.
That is the one faith.
That is us all coming in the unity of the faith unto the measure of Christ.
Hear the instruction of the one Father and one Faith and one Lord Jesus Christ ( why hear anyone else ?)

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Who thinks they can learn the mystery of the faith in a dictionary, do we look under mystery and all these different people start to give their idea of the mystery ?
The scriptures are known to us from a child ( converted and become as little children or we cannot enter the kingdom of God)
1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
