The meaning is to look to what is commanded by God, to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and to be as those alive from the dead with Jesus Christ is to sin no more.
Not in the Greek dictionary, which is the language of the Bible, nor in the dictionary of any other language.

First is repentance and baptism, then it is a command to sin not, but until then we have advocacy and propitiation.

But if we are to be as those alive from the dead with Christ, we also believe sin has no more dominion over us ( now risen with Christ) so our body is an instrument of righteousness unto God..

Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Colossians 3: If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Heavenly language is not in Greek ( foolishness to the Greeks) or in this worlds wisdom turned backwards is told

Isaiah 44:25 That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;

Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

Heavenly language is not in Greek
And we're not in heaven.

Nevertheless, it is the language chosen by God for the NT.

And it's not my job to try to come up with a better and more holy one, but to diligently study the one he used.

The definition of all things is here:

Galatians 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 4:20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Propitiation is the remission of sins by repenting of our sins, and by being baptized into the death of Jesus Christ, to then be risen with Him as instruments of righteousness to God.

If the dictionaries do not contain that, the bible has, all I am doing is repeating over and over for you.

Also the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that believe not ( it makes no sense in any dictionary to them or in the scriptures), as it remains foolishness to them that perish...

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Wise men are turned backwards and their knowledge becomes foolish, it is hidden, it requires being revealed, it is taught by the Spirit, and also it is precisely what is told ( this is what the wise in this world ignore) to obey the command of God to repent and to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission ( propitiation) of our sins and for Jesus to be our advocate, which is space is given to all to repent and to be alive with Christ in righteousness.

Instructions in righteousness are the way of life.,and commandments ( of God) are them.

Fools ( who have the wisdom of this world turned into foolishness) despise that instruction of Gods wisdom or how has it to be revealed to us through the Spirit as told)..

Proverbs 12:28 In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

How does a dictionary reveal, and how is that God instructing us by the Spirit.

But it explains how some do not receive instruction ( because they sought it from men and not from the Lord)

Read below to understand, we all have ONE FATHER, who gives us instruction

Also cease to hear the instruction that causes us to err ( wisdom of men and this world)

Proverbs 4:13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Proverbs 5:12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;

Proverbs 5:23 He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Proverbs 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Proverbs 10:17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

Proverbs 12:1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Proverbs 13:1 A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.

Proverbs 13:18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

Proverbs 15:5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

Proverbs 15:32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

Proverbs 16:22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

Proverbs 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Proverbs 19:27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.

(CLV) Hb 5:9
And being perfected, He became the cause of eonian salvation to all who are obeying Him,

(CLV) Ro 6:16
Are you not aware that to whom you are presenting yourselves as slaves for obedience, his slaves you are, whom you are obeying, whether of Sin for death, or of Obedience for righteousness?

Definition of righteous

1 : acting in accord with divine or moral law : free from guilt or sin
Definition of RIGHTEOUS

Shabbat shalom
And yet, almost ironically, that obedience is authentic only as it begins to occur willingly, motivated by love, not directly out of a sense of obligation even if the awareness of that obligation is good. I appreciate the words of Basil of Caesarea here, a 4th century believer,

“If we turn away from evil out of fear of punishment, we are in the position of slaves. If we pursue the enticement of wages, . . . we resemble mercenaries. Finally if we obey for the sake of the good itself and out of love for him who commands . . . we are in the position of children.”

That goal has been the focus of Gods work in humankind ever since Eden.

Yep. . .for all those who obey the first command he gave. . ."Repent and believe" (Mark 1:15).
Yes, and a person can't obey anyway until they come to believe, which leads to the hope in and, ultimately, the love for God that obeys by its nature.

Actually, repent is the change of mind which is belief.

Regarding if faith can be taught by peoples opinion in a dictionary.concordance.

Firstly consider Abraham and who taught him ? No person can, otherwise being the father of faith would make no sense (nobody taught Noah who is the heir of the righteousness which is by faith, Hebrews 11:7, nor did any person teach any of the prophets of God, God taught and instructed all of them by His Spirit in them)....

Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Also consider no man in any opinion of dictionary or concordance is anything to do with anyone's faith, Jesus Christ alone is the author of our faith ( by His Spirit in us or we follow and believe what we or others think)..

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Next consideration is, it is God that gives us and we then who obtain that precious faith, through the righteousness (grace) of God, our Saviour Jesus Christ..

2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Concordances and a dictionary give information, information is not faith. We all have knowledge but it is charity ( the love of Christ) that edifies and gives understanding...

1 Corinthians 8:1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

Foe remission ( the propitiation of our sins) we need the knowledge of salvation ( to believe in)

That word is what was testified, which is repentance towards God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

To receive forgiveness of sins ( propitiation and Christ to be our advocate with the Father) we need to be turned from darkness to light, away from satan's power, to be sanctified by faith that is in Christ.

Christ is set for a propitiation for our sins, through faith in His blood...

Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

That is the righteousness of faith.

That is us being justified by faith.

Faith comes by hearing, the word of God ( for the righteousness which is of faith to be justified by faith)

The sound went into all the world, but faith is required to hear the testimony of Christ.

Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Should our faith stand in the wisdom of men ( in dictionaries and concordances, and men's advise especially when so many deceivers are here now ?)

No our faith only should stand in demonstration of the Spirit, not in words anyone can speak and any person can know.

The wisdom of this world is not spoken to believe in, but the wisdom of God in a hidden mystery....

1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

As said previously, God is our one Father.

That is the one faith.

That is us all coming in the unity of the faith unto the measure of Christ.

Hear the instruction of the one Father and one Faith and one Lord Jesus Christ ( why hear anyone else ?)

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Proverbs 4:1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

Who thinks they can learn the mystery of the faith in a dictionary, do we look under mystery and all these different people start to give their idea of the mystery ?

The scriptures are known to us from a child ( converted and become as little children or we cannot enter the kingdom of God)

1 Timothy 3:9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Titus 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

God is the author of our faith-but we still need to hear. Revelation gives us the knowledge-to base our faith on. But I think that faith is also right there in us-waiting to be expressed as God comes knocking on our door.

God is the door, we enter in by. Christ came and knocked already, so we hear and open to Him. ( in faith if we have it)

John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Luke 12:36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
