Hello.
I read different Scriptures, and I clearly see ethnic or national Gods. For example, in the Bible, El/Jehova is a Jewish God. Or Jesus said He only came to save Israel. Or in the Quran it says Allah is for Arabs in pure Arabic language. Etc
The ancient religions were created at a time when most people didn’t travel to the next village. No airplanes or even horse carriages or camels, a sign of great wealth. So they were isolated and limited to their own.
Obviously, their Gods were ethnic or national.
How is it? Of course, in later ages as the world was becoming more and more international and more and more global, Gods were transformed to become more universal… Expansion..
How do you reconcile this problem of an ethnic beginning and a global requirement of today’s culture? I can’t.
Or should we gather great theologians of all kinds of faith and create a truly Global and Universal and International Scripture with a God that spans the Known Universe? Not a sender of rain to my village, you know….
