So yes, just to allay the fears of some, I know Jesus said the tribulation would test all flesh, but it is important to put that in context: the Cross of Jesus tested all flesh, our generation has not fallen further away. They will be tested further, but they will not continue to fall away. This is the doing of the Holy Spirit, but it is in sense a mystery.
That mystery is a mystery of the nations, Israel will be tested first (as a nation) and other nations will be tested in spirit (as nations) and some will be tested in truth (being the spirits of nations). This will play out slowly, the mark will come, but not to every nation, the faith of those who are ready to die, in truth, will advance with one name - the name of Jesus, in mind - surrendering in unison, that if the anti-Christ wants to take one of them, then of God, he is free to take them. They will not take the mark, spiritually.
This surrender - not taking the mark, but being ready to die - will divert the anti-Christ's attention elsewhere, at first, but ultimately, finding no difference throughout the Earth, he will turn to Israel. At the sight of this, the Church will fall away, but in principle from Israel, not the nations (those that prove themselves in the face of his test). This is a spiritual sign, that the lives of those that remain in Israel, will not be tested for all time, but for a season, that the payment of blood and water, spirit and testimony, be fulfilled. This is not for the trangression of the Law, but the proving of Israel's Law, that they may believe as the anti-Christ does, which they will reject, in the Spirit of the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit of the Holy Spirit, will prepare people's hearts and minds, for this test, it will not cause panic, the leaders of the nations will begin to wait patiently, for Israel to come to an end - they will even be the first, to be recognized in Israel, having passed the test - it has every potential of going on too long, but this is the work of God, that no man doubt that God would pay, if Christ had not already done so. Some nations will develop their own mark, men will continue to get tattoos, some will simply speak as though the mark was there in the saying of it - but all these things will not interfere with God's timing, AND HE WILL COME. Woe to those who think nothing of God's Wrath, over a mere sign - a sign that only a wicked and evil generation would seek.
The time is coming when Jesus will speak for Himself, about the mark and the guillotine - may we be ready to surrender as He calls us to.
