Then perhaps they should not driven right up on him? I fail to see why we should hold the lives of government workers higher then that of citizens.
They have to approach him. People said he was pointing a gun. If the cops did nothing and he shot someone they would criticize police for that too

I am not going to re-litigate this case on the internet. The fact remains they had other options then immediately shooting him as is readily apparent in other cases.

What option? He pointed a gun. What option did they have? They had no choice but to confront him and he pointed the gun. Its tragic but if it were you what would you have done?

Kyle Rittenhouse got to run down a street with a REAL weapon fully loaded (he'd killed two people already with it) and the police didn't have a problem with him.

Cliven Bundy and his friends actually got to point loaded weapons AT FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMNT officials and that was OK too.

Bundy could have been shot. I honestly don't remember the details of that one. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. If they would have shot him for pointing a weapon at them they would have been justified imo.

This dumb. We pay police to deal with people that are threatening others. We don't pay police to get shot first before they shoot back. You'd have to pay them a lot more money and provide them with a lot better protection if wanted them to take a bullet before they shoot.

Do we pay military more? I certainly did not get paid that much and our ROE would not of allowed me to shoot as quickly as many justify the police.

Tamir Rice was not a criminal, and there were many other options that could of been employed.
Suppose you were the cop; you get a call on the radio that a man is walking down the street pointing a gun at people and cars as they go by, you see him in the park and as you roll up, you see yell to see his hands and instead of showing his hands, he reaches inside his waist. What would you do if you were in that situation?

Try to talk to him. Ask him not to shoot you

According to what I thought I heard. Maybe I heard wrong. If he didn't then that should be the focus of the discussion. Do you have a source that would clear this up?

A surveillance video without audio of the shooting was released by police on November 26 after pressure from the public and Rice's family.[18] It showed Rice pacing around the park, occasionally extending his right arm. The video briefly shows Rice talking on a cellphone, and sitting at a picnic table in a gazebo. A patrol car moves at high speed across the park lawn and then stops abruptly by the gazebo. Rice appears to move his hand, an action police experts concluded was Rice reaching for his waist band but disputed by expert reports released by Rice family attorneys

Killing of Tamir Rice - Wikipedia

Police circled a frame of the video in red that shows Tamir moving his hand — apparently to signal the moment they say the youth reached for the pellet gun.

Kyle had his rifle holstered

"holstered"? A rifle holster? He wasn't riding a horse. Can you show me his "rifle holster" in this picture from the riots?

and his hands raised high in the air, so he was not a threat to the police.

OK, fair enough. He had just gunned down a couple folks but at least he raised his hands in the air.

Not just Cliven but a bunch of his friends took up positions and pointed loaded guns at Federal Law Enforcement agents and everyone went home that night.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. If they would have shot him for pointing a weapon at them they would have been justified imo.

But the key is they didn't.

Provide a picture of him when the police arrived, and he walked towards them. That's what we're talking about right?
