New data refutes your statement

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) publish a weekly ‘Vaccine Surveillance’ report containing statistics on Covid-19 cases, hospitalisations and deaths by vaccination status across England over the past four weeks.

Their latest report, published Thursday November 25th covers data on infections, hospitalisations and deaths from Week 43 to Week 46 of 2021 (October 25th – November 21st).

The report reveals that there were 833,332 recorded Covid-19 cases, 9,094 Covid-19 hospitalizations and 3,700 Covid-19 deaths from October 25th to November 21st. Of these the un-vaccinated accounted for 39% of all cases, 34% of all hospitalizations, and 19% of all deaths. Whilst the vaccinated accounted for 61% of all cases, 66% of all hospitalizations, and 81% of all deaths.

Only the Fully Vaccinated should fear the New "Worst Ever" Covid-19 Variant; data shows they already account for 4 in every 5 Covid Deaths

The problem here is that comparing the numbers of vaccinated people who require hospital treatment or who die with the numbers of unvaccinated people who require hospital treatment or who die is meaningless. What is needed is to compare the rates of vaccinated who require hospital treatment or who die with the rates of unvaccinated people who require hospital treatment or who die.

The figures you quote demonstrate that the vaccine is effective, when you take into account the high vaccination rates in the UK, particularly among older people.

Precisely.

National Chair of the South African Medical Association, Dr. Angelique Coetzee, who made an early discovery of the Omicron variant amongst patients, says "the hype" that's been created surrounding the variant is unwarranted.

According to Reuters, "the variant was detected and announced by South Africa's National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) on Nov. 25 from samples taken from a laboratory from Nov. 14 to Nov. 16."

Coetzee told Reuters that in one of the "biggest hospitals" in her "area" and country of South Africa, there is only one patient who is COVID-positive on ventilation, and there has been no confirmation, as of Sunday, that Omicron is the cause.

"The hype," Coetzee says, "that's been created currently out there in the media and worldwide doesn't correlate with the clinical picture. And it doesn't warrant to just cut us off from any traveling, and bans South Africa as if we are the villains in the whole process — should not be like that."

Coetzee, who is also on the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Vaccines, says, "looking at the mildness of the symptoms we are seeing currently, there’s no reason for panicking as we don’t see severely ill patients."

"I also checked with the hospital, some of the hospitals in my area, and one of the biggest hospitals they only have one patient currently that's COVID-positive on a ventilator, and they don't even know whether it's COVID — you know it's Delta- or whether it is Omicron-related." More

No offense, but I rather we ovrreact to a potentially deadly new variant, then wait to find out, "Oh it has a 99% fatality rate." weeks later. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

I have a degree in microbiology, did graduate work in immunology, and operated an allergy-immunology service in the AF. So I have some understanding of the issues.

Fact is, most of us will live even if we don't take the vaccine. But a lot more people will die if we don't. It won't be like the plague that took out one of three in Europe. Presently, it's killed about one American for every 412 of us. That's approaching a million dead. Over twice the number of American troops dying from all causes during WWII.

That's horrible enough.

Our role is to become educated in the issues and try to make the best choice we can. The problem is the internet is full of unscrupulous and even crazy people with all sorts of weird stories to tell.

That's reasonable. Many don't even sound rational. This is a time of great stress. I have forgotten what is is to feel safe and free. It is amazing what we are adapting to.

Right, I was at a Meetup game night event, and the host required everyone to be vaccinated that entered the house.

Anyways, we're playing, and a conversation arose about Covid and a gent said his aunt and uncle took the vaccine, and some dude blurted out, "Vaccines are stupid!"

He goes, "Um, no....it saved my aunt and uncle's life!"

I was like, "I guess who here isn't vaccinated."

The blurter went dead silent.

Almost certainly it won't be that bad. But there don't seem to be many people wailing "I wish I hadn't taken the vaccine!" while dying in ICUs.

While Biden accused predecessor Donald Trump of racism, “xenophobia,” and other epithets last year for limiting travel from countries experiencing high numbers of Chinese coronavirus cases, Biden banned travel from South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Malawi last week while on an extended five-day vacation in upscale Nantucket.
“These restrictions are unjustified and unfairly discriminate against our country and our Southern African sister countries,” Ramaphosa continued, urging Biden and others to “urgently reverse” travel bans.

“The prohibition of travel is not informed by science, nor will it be effective in preventing the spread of this variant,” Ramaphosa asserted, citing the W.H.O.’s opposition to such bans.

Lazarus Chakwera, the president of Malawi, accused Biden and other leaders enacting travel bans of “Afrophobia” in a Facebook post on Sunday.

“[Chinese coronavirus] measures must be based on science, not Afrophobia,” Chakwera wrote, referring specifically to the travel bans by the United States and the West as “uncalled for.” More

“You know, when a government bureaucrat has the audacity, the arrogance, to say they represent all of science, we should be running the other way,” he said. “And it conjures up images of the medieval church, in their repression of science. Science has nothing to do with having obedience to any kind of government dogma. And you have to realize that most of what Fauci talks about isn’t science. He’s not talking about a study on this or a study of that. He’s talking about wear a mask. But when you talk about the peer-reviewed studies of masks, there was one done in Denmark showed that it didn’t work.”

“When you look at all of Sweden, 1.8 million children have not been wearing masks for the last two years. They’ve had zero COVID deaths,” Paul continued. “And you say, well, have the teachers been infected? Well, it turns out the teachers are infected at the same rate as the rest of the public. So, they’ve had no masks for a year, year and a half. And it has worked. And that’s a whole country. And there’s no real discussion of this because if you questioned him, and really that’s public policy, that’s not science. Its public policy backed by some science. But if you question him, somehow you are questioning science because he represents all science. That is incredibly arrogant.” More

"From March through June 2020, a total of 15 children with Covid-19 (including those with MIS-C) were admitted to an ICU (0.77 per 100,000 children in this age group)"
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2026670

In Sweden, the death rate for children from all causes went up by less than 7% during the pandemic, which is somewhat lower than in most other nations.

Of the 73 million children in the U.S., fewer than 700 have died of COVID-19 during the course of the pandemic,
COVID-19 in kids: latest data on cases, deaths and hospitalizations

So about the same percentage of deaths. ICU admissions are much higher, with unknown rates of permanent damage.

Actually there have been many horror stories in the news, told by medical staff about anti-jabbers being brought in and being very ill and regretting their decision before dying. Their families have to grieve.
One man lost both wife and daughter who had refused vaccines despite working as carers in a nursing home.

One thing is becoming clear, antijabbers have no future. There are moves afoot by governments to oust them from normal life. Right or wrong, this will happen.

Pretty much the way promiscuous people were marginalized and despised in Europe when syphilis became endemic after it was brought back from the New World? Depending on how pervasive the virus becomes, it could get to that point.

Well, governments have to protect the majority of citizens. I would hate to be a person who makes the difficult decisions. I hope wisdom rules.

In the long term, it will be society that does this. As Mark Twain said, laws are written in sand; customs are forged of steel.

Former White House trade adviser Peter Navarro is blowing the whistle on Dr. Anthony Fauci and President Joe Biden's foolhardly universal vaccination mandates, warning of "vaccine resistant mutations" of COVID-19 and economic destruction.

"The Biden regime and Fauci have gone down exactly the wrong path, following the ideology of scientists, rather than what's good science," Navarro told Newsmax on Tueday night.

"Everything the Joe Biden regime and Fauci are doing is wrong. It's against the science and the data. It's pure ideology they're jamming it down our throat."

Navarro was the first in the Trump administration in late January 2020 to warn of the catastrophic dangers of COVID-19 spreading in the U.S. and call for a China travel ban – against the urging of Fauci in a heated Situation Room argument.

He told co-hosts Jenn Pellegrino and Mercedes Schlapp he also helped President Donald Trump get started on the vaccine production, but he warns the vaccine is experimental and intended to save the most vulnerable, like senior citizens and those with compromised immune systems.

"I'm not anti-vax," he stressed. "I was the guy that helped President Trump get that thing quickly to the finish line, but, here's the deal: I knew at the time that any vaccine that might come up would be leaky. It wouldn't be a silver bullet, right, and what we also needed was the widespread use of therapeutics."

Navarro added he co-wrote papers in July, along with "Dr. Robert Malone, who actually invented the RNA technology for this vaccine" – on the danger of universal vaccine policies potentially creating "vaccine resistant mutations" of COVID-19 that would threaten the vaccinated, who might not have been needed the immune assistance anyway.

"He and I wrote a series of two articles that basically said that a universal vax policy, because of basic virology, would likely lead to vaccine resistant mutations that could threaten, actually, the people who took the vaccines," Navarro said. "And now we're seeing exactly that.

"The policy we should be pursuing is simply to use the vaccines for people who desperately need them: senior citizens and people with co-morbidities."

Mandating vaccines for everyone, including those who are not at risk for serious COVID-19 complications, raises risk for dangerous mutations, Navarro continued.

"What you do when you force people to get the vaccination, who are healthy and don't need it, you raise this risk of creating vaccine resistant mutations, which can lead to a superbug," he added.

"You simply don't want to do that."

Nevermind the economic destruction vaccine mandates are causing with the supply chain and worker shortage happening under Biden.

"The other part of the universal vax policy which is so damaging is economic," Navarro said. "Basically what the administration is doing is driving pilots, longshoremen, food processors, truckers out of the workforce at a time when we're having the worst supply chain crisis and worse labor market distortion in our history."

Navarro concluded "we're headed right into a train wreck" under Biden.

"It's not really a vaccine, basically, it's an experimental technology that provokes a limited immune response, which is why you keep needing boosters," Navarro warned. "What we should be doing is only using it for elderly folks who have a high risk of dying and for people with co-morbidities. Full stop. Full stop.

"Because the more you use that thing – it's leaky, nondurable, and dangerous – you create the possibility of more and more dangerous mutations. So use it parsimoniously, as we say in the trade."
