Towards the end of november and the temperature is already below -10 degrees celsius. The forecast says that there will be half a meter of snow in the next 24 hours or so. Living far north in Europe we're used to such climate and weather conditions, but snow seldomly arrives this early. Oh well, I'll just have to adjust and pull out my winter boots and cloating already...

How is it where you live? Is winter arriving or is it all nice and bummy outside?

How I wish I could do as the bears... byebye see y'all in the spring...

Ouch. I'm in England. We had snow in parts of the country, temperatures fell to about -1 I believe. Comparatively mild I guess

Yeah, I heard you did. How bad is it? I believe
the Spurs game at Burnley got postponed due to snowfall on sunday? Quite an unusual occurence this early in the season.

USA. It’s been anywhere from the 20 to 50s. It changes constantly. We have had ice and snow but nothing that has stuck around for too long so far.

Well, you know more about football than The north has had some grim weather. Storm Arwen followed by fairly thick snow. In the south, things are less cataclysmic though lol. -10C is unimaginable to me though. The moment the temperature falls below 0c I start seriously contemplating hibernation

I'm really sorry for those poor folk both in Scotland and England who lost electricity due to the number of power cables brought down by the winds - some are still without power :(

Sun and blue skies here, but cold, Gusty wind to go along with it.
We are having high temps in the 40's and mid 50's, and frosts at least once or twice a week now.
The flocks of blackbirds are gathering on the tree limbs, and they are doing their best to uproot the trees by hanging on to the branches while exercising their wings. All in preparation for those long migration flights to come.

One winter we had a foot of snow October 31st and it stuck until Spring. So far this year it's nothing. No snow yet. Well, I saw a few flakes in the air but it melted on landing.

Praying for them :crosseo:

The ultra high energy prices in Europe and GB is also very unfortunate to say at least. When this is accompanied by an early and cold start to the winter season people might end up freezing to death. Its brutal! I know several students who turn off the heat in order to survive economically. 14 degrees in the livingroom is a real health hazard. If prices continue to skyrocket throughout the winter I'm saddened to say that I'll be expecting some fatalities, at least amongst our senior citizents.

Hate when that happens! The winter can be fantastically brutal in Norway, but in the lowland down south it usually starts in december and often not until january. Around that time it can easily be temperatures below - 15 degrees. Snowfall in october is fortunately a very rare incident where I live.

No big snow here yet, just a flurry so far, but it's gotten down to freezing most nights, and we have retreated indoors for everything mostly, and spending time by the fireplace.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas !!! Stay safe. I love it when it is coming down but after that not so much.

Of course I had to query Celsius to Fahrenheit and meters to inches. Lol

The Gulf of Mexico is a major player in My state’s climate. Southerly winds from the Gulf region readily transport warm, moist air into the state. This humid air collides with continental polar air brought southward by the jet stream from Canada. ... Air temperatures in my state have a wide range.

(Looked it up).

I'm sorry to hear that you've had bad experiences on the web. You are probably quite wise to keep your location confidential. To be fair, i usually tell people that I'm in the south of England. I prefer not to provide more precise details.
