Thing is this will also effect natural immunity wich can cause it too, if most people have it mutations will become prevalent that effect them too.

Yes, we're all in danger. But whatever an individual chooses, they should be informed first. And as scripture suggests, we should listen to all sides (Prov 18:17)

I don't think he's claimed there is. It's a concern of his regarding the future.
I don't think one should be too concerned about a very rare event that has no evidence of it occuring.

Then again, humans fear shark attacks and don't mind climbing on chairs to reach the upper shelf.

South African doctor who raised alarm about omicron variant says symptoms are ‘unusual but mild’

Hopefully, as the Telegraph is reporting Omicron had mild symptoms. If it's very contagious but causes only mild symptoms in unvaccinated and none in vaccinated it could be a blessing, a natural vaccine? Of course, we don't know and the unknown is scary but I feel like hoping and praying that this turns out to be the outcome.
In the end, the virus either wipes its host species out or reaches an equilibrium with it.

Also, even if immediate symptoms might appear mild, long term symptoms might be an entirely different issue. Long Covid is a very real thing and can knock people out for months or years, if not permanently, reducing them to walking wounded who can barely take care of themselves. That's hardly a silver lining.

No. They want to keep people informed.

Would you prefer that they keep it secret?
Like the Ghislaine Maxwell trial? NO. Should be front page news 24/7 all outlets, with all perps named.

But no...look over here! New variant across the world! Fear for your lives!

May it be so. Maybe media ought to wait for facts before trotting out the fear inappropriate content.

Now that we're going into a third year with this thing, at what point do we just say screw it and just live with it? it's beyond ridiculous already.

....considering people are dying because hospitals are overwhelmed in areas from time to time, just live with it doesn't work.

We haven't tried it yet. But what we have done clearly is not working. It's time to move on with life and accept it.

try what? Multiple states like Florida have tried moving on before ready people died due to hospitals full. Whats your solution? If this one is more contagious and as deadly as the previous ones *thankfully seems not* wat your going to end up with is hospitals full. Then what happens, you get into a car accident, but sorry hospital is full of covid patients.

My solution is let's get on with life. People are going to die either way. It's sad but unfortunately it's a part of life.

No....MORE people will die. Your method is whats killing more people the nescary. You do realize you could be one of those people that die, not because of something like covid, or a accident, but because despite you could have survived that, but because there was no room to treat you? In the US there have been talk of stroke patients that can't recover because there just isn't enough doctors and nurses to treat them they are too busy in the covid ward.

Dude, more people in general will die when life goes back to normal, especially on the roads.. what's your solution to that? should we just never leave the home? Life needs to go on. Death is a part of life.

DUDE we already have seatbelt laws, driving laws, traffic lights anti drinking laws. We do a TON of things to make driving safe, and were going to have to do the same things with covid. We will eventually have to get back to life, but not at the cost of lives. People will die from driving, and from covid, were trying to avoid the needless lives lost. Your way is selfish, and disturbing.

US traffic fatalities are around 30,000ish a year. Ignoring COVID, abandoning all mitigation efforts and just writing off 2% of the population as acceptable losses means 6.5 million deaths in the US alone. Not to mention the impact of a collapsed medical system.

That's only one form of death. Either way, people are dying regardless. Let's get on with life
