And how many roads have you built? How many missiles have you launched?

Nothing you complain about will get worse. Try running any country without taxes and see how that goes.

I never said "without taxes," but history proves you can run a country, and quite well, without taxation on income. FAIRTax system would be far superior, and eliminate the loopholes that are so fiercely condemned.

Via my tax dollars, I am certainly an unwilling and compelled participant. Unfortunately, I have no power to dictate direction, and ergo, some at the top of the food chain is instead dictating that direction...and our President is complicit.

Let us not judge political concepts by technological capabilities though. The point is that federal infringement upon the 10th amendment is grossly and widely accepted as status quo now, whereas before it wasn't. The States should be in charge of these things, and taxing income to fuel the latest political agendas is going to bankrupt the American people at a minimum, and in the worst case, bring the States under full subjugation and the People with them.
