Now we see reports of migrants throwing stun grenades at Polish police, as well as stones and other objects, while Poland uses water cannons and tear gas to hold them back.

Who is right..? Who is wrong..?

Poland border crisis: Migrants tear-gassed trying to cross from Belarus

The migrants are desperate, the Poles are in a no-win position (either stop them and seem inhumane or don't stop them and have all your capacity to integrate them overwhelmed by the sheer numbers), I don't see how much blame should be attached to either.

The country that's basically acting as a nation-state-sized human trafficking network? I think it's not unreasonable for most of the blame to be pointed squarely at Belarus.

If someone previously unknown to you decided on his own to enter your house and make it his residence, who would be right?

Would you be wrong to try to prevent him from doing so? If so, why?

The migrants are pawns in a political drama. The Yamal-Europe Russian gas pipeline runs through Belarus. The EU is dragging its feet over launching the Nord Stream2 pipeline under the Baltic. Belarus is a Russian client state. If the Belarussians cut off the gas supply to Poland and Germany at a time of short supply that puts more pressure on the EU to push through the approval of Nord Stream 2. It is chess basically but Putin does not seem to understand that these fear tactics do not work in the EU and that if he uses the gas card through Belarus chances are he will lose it.

According to international law, neighboring countries must do every effort practical to receive refugees.
