Enlighten us then, oh wise guru because I think there are alot of people here who think the same way. And I'm just waiting to see what your response is (sorry, I ended my sentence with a verb but you get the meaning).
It is not "well, I guess no more police force". What EXACTLY it means depends on what each city may be going for. Likely it means, in part, not buying exmiltary equipment and spending the money on social workers and mental health counsellors who can be used for wellness checks, and checks where violence is less likely.

Of course, there is a WIDE scale of what exactly that looks like but nothing involves "getting rid of the police force". So go read what organizations in your city are ACTUALLY arguing for instead of "bargle bargle, defund the police" if you want to know what kind of changes are being advocated for at the local level.

Simply protecting himself from the situation he forced.

.
Sounds like the usual view of the world from a certain extreme. That is...we can do whatever we want because, you see, what we want is right. But you cannot do anything like it yourselves because you are racists or whatever else we have chosen to call you in order to justify us denying you your rights.

I don't put any attention to what Trump says. Any ways Trump encourages shoot the people he doesn't like crowed. Rittenhouse was put into this mess, by cowards. You don't ask minors to watch your home while riots are going on.

There were many other people there who were armed as Rittenhouse was.

You don't know what defund the police means.

Here are some people who know very well what it means, and what the results of it are:

Very good, you are correct in your answer. But my statement took that into account. It's one thing to peacefully protest against something one feels is an injustice in our society but its another thing to tear a place apart and loot stores and on a regular basis. Until this stops, there is no justifiable reason to take vital equipment away from police departments that can be used to stop the rioting quickly.

As I said in another post, Americans need to demand Congress deal with this problem (and I'm not talking about the trigger happy defenders or the extremely destructive rioters) and the problem is the disparity many poor Americans feel. They need a better future and Republicans can't even acknowledge that the poor and lower end of the middle class are suffering and the Democrats just point the finger at White Supremacy built into all of America. There are solutions to our problems but nobody wants to go there because its too difficult. God bless, sorry I sounded so rude but I get tired of the nonsense going back and forth here and in America.

What's being celebrated is that he successfully defended himself (even though so many people claim a gun is not an effective tool for self defense), and then was vilified and condemned in the popular media, but was eventually exonerated by a jury of his peers in a legal court trial when all the evidence was presented.

Self defense is usually portrayed in the MSM as being "revenge, vigilanteism, or the act of a gun nut". Meanwhile, rioters, looters, arsonists---they've been the ones celebrated by the MSM, and even given a pass by (liberal) city mayors. The general public finally gets to see someone who didn't just stand by and take a brick to the head, or get pulled out of their car and beaten with baseball bats. This is a case where someone actually braved the violence to help people, ended up being attacked, managed to defend himself, was crucified by the MSM, and emerged victorious in the court system. What's not to celebrate?
No, this is a case of a child trying to play the hero. Meanwhile throwing gasoline on a smoldering fire. If he had stayed home, Nobody's dead in that situation. Instead, he crossed state lines to join a riot with a rifle.

When everyone else brings bricks, laser pointers, firebombs, illegal fireworks, and a taste for violence, a rifle makes sense.
Yes, if it's going off on your block. You don't drive to a riot with a gun. How is that making things safer?

Rittenhouse had no business there. He had no personal stake and nothing to offer except for more violence. He was thrill seeking. He was stupid at best, reckless at worst.

We do, he's still an idiot for putting himself into that situation.
He's a kid, they often do dumb things. Whats the excuse for the ones he killed? Are they idiots for putting themselves in that situation? Who attacks someone who's armed? Not very intelligent. And what wisdom guided the rioters to attend such a violent riot? Were they idiots?

I was disappointed with the way that he was charged and predicted this verdict. They charged him too quickly. It should have been rather obvious that the self defense claims were well justified, but I think that he should have been charged with a general endangerment charge. Now he walks due to incompetence by the prosecution.
