The Fox video was early January of 2020, while the event itself happened I thought around the spring of 2018 or so.
I meant the Young Turks one. Was wondering if she only said that because he was found not guilty.

Ok, well good for her on taking responsibility for her bias.

Yeah its really surprising. They have been taken a beating by some liberal but honest folks in alternative media and investigative journalism especially Jimmy Dore, where their ratings have taken a serious nose dive over what they were 5-12 years ago). So maybe this is them trying to right the ship. Jimmy pounded them over going heavy on "Russian Collusion" as much as Rachel Maddow.

Kyle Rittenhouse stands to win law suits for defamation, libel, slander etc. much like Nicholas Sandman (The famous "Covington Kid"), did a year or two ago.

Who do you think will be sued? By the way this might include Joe Biden and the White House because Biden called him something like a "White Supremacist" a week or two ago. (I discuss in my 2nd post that Biden can be sued in spite of his Constitutional protections).
Well, they checked Rittenhouse's phone for signs of being tied to white supremacy groups but I don't think they checked his computer.

The Constitution protects him from stuff while in office to keep his role as Chief Executive for the country secure, but does not grant him permanent and full immunity.

He is still libel for the stuff he does in office. Besides that there is the Paula Jones case against Clinton etc. where certain kinds of exceptions can be granted.

I'm pretty sure, law suits can be filed to take effect when his immunity ends, so as not to be affected by things like statutes of limitations etc.

Joe's first statement on Rittenhouse was a Tweet remark about him being a White Supremacist back when he was a candidate. So no official protections then...
I don't think he was necessarily a White Supremacist although some people say he was flashing the White Power hand signal and he was taped hanging out with the Proud Boys. Biden can't be sued.

Does being acquitted of all counts and found not guilty by self defence mean the protestors weren't as peace loving as they claimed.. self defence being the key phrase? Will the damaged property and stolen goods feel vindicated? Will the title of troublemaker remain fluid? But regardless of what the courts proclaims the divisiveness of the people will remain. The age of the Hatfields and McCoys has returned. Will the good name and character of the protestors be marred by the police records of the three who were shot?

Should we give some good guy vigilantes some AR-15's and let them go around killing the bad guys with criminal records?

I just heard that Biden smearing him as a white supremacist was done while he was campaigning and trying to stir up votes. So it is something Rittenhouse can sue over since he was not a sitting president at the time.
If they haven't gotten Trump yet they'll never get Biden!

I hope Rittenhouse sues MSNBC and others and wins a huge bundle.
I have never seen aspects of the mainstream media so dedicated to selling a lie, and their motivation is baffling to me, frankly. The only conclusion I can draw is that they want to destroy our right to self defense, to accomplish their Marxist ends.

I actually see more lies, misinformation, and misdirection from the Right than the Left. Or at least as much. They claim it as self defense when in actuality it was a pure vigilante situation. And you can tell because all the gang he was with were vigilantes. They were itching for a fight, plain and simple. And that is the biggest lie of the rightwingers.

As a Christian you should know we must wait for that to occur the other way around.

I can kind of see that, but also disagree too. I think this Ana Kasparian retraction from a few weeks ago is noteworthy. For some reason she got the notion that Rittenhouse was the aggressor etc. you got to ask how somebody in the media, even alternative media could have gotten that kind of idea...?

I guess much of the blame goes with the prosecutor who filed his case 48 hours after the events etc. but this is not the 1st time there has been a malicious prosecution by a liberal DA.

QA8[/MEDIA]

Well, they had to press charges, right? Two people were killed by a vigilante. Anyone in that position would have brought charges.

LOL, CNN pretending like they didn't know how much they were sued for by Sandman.

As far as Kyle goes, why not sue Antifa, Soros, and BLM while he's at it?

Sandman didn't get much. Lucky he made anything after paying is lawyers. Most experts guess he might have made $50k per suit if he was lucky.

Maybe while he's at it Kyle can sue "Highlights for Children" for publishing Goofus and Gallant where Gallant opts NOT to go fully armed into a riot (conflict) thereby SEEKING opportunities to put himself in danger and "defend himself" from the danger he knowingly put himself into. Goofus, however, has a buddy give him a gun he shouldn't have and he goes to defend an empty building owned by people he doesn't know and ends up being the ONLY gun-wielding patriot in the riot who had to kill people.

Oh Goofus.

What grounds would he have to sue people? Somebody calling him a White Supremacist probably doesn't meet the bar for defamation.

Joe cannot be sued.

Most other Congress members will never be aired either
BUT. I suspect a number of media organizations will be ponying up some serious dollars like they had to for Sandman.

I didn't watch the Rittenhouse Tucker Carlson interview, but saw some videos online referencing it's significance and showing brief clips from it. It's interesting in this one, when asked about the president's earlier statements on him being a "White Supremacist" etc. Rittenhouse mentions the presidents previous statements were "actual malice" which is the precise legal term used for a defamation law suit showing that this sort of thing has been discussed in reference to Biden etc.

If things like itching for a fight and showing it was a pure vigilante situation was as 'pure and simple' as you say? Why was it never brought up in court?

I mean it might have been easier to show motive, and how it wasn't self defense if they had. We listened to alot of the case while we were doing projects we needed to catch up on, and we heard nothing about something as pure and simple as that in court.

Reality is often of no interest to opinion. People are only interested in hearing others voice their own opinions.
