Hi there,
So I have just been thinking on faith, why I do't have enough, basically and it has dawned on me that I don't understand the times of Man. The times of man are bound by the words of Jesus that "this generation shall not pass until all these things have come to pass" (gospels, from memory) - in other words the times of Man are composed of events that have no way to change: but this does not limit Man. Man will be weighed in the balance; this is different from the judgment of Man, which Revelation describes as Judgments being handed down upon everything living or that had life - in the sense that it is the actual worth of Man, that is in question.
This question, "is Man worth what he makes himself out to be?" is actually a question answered by the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit comes, He will set out the Judgment and Righteousness and Sin of the cross, for Himself and those with Him - but in doing so He will come to be spokesperson for humanity (being Helper to all), spokesperson such that He will be required to give an account of the progress of Christ's sacrifice on Earth. This account will be between Him and Jesus, but will apply to every Man, even as the cross applies to every Man. The point is, should those in the faith have more faith or less - is Earth doomed?
Should it turn out that Man is not worthy, Jesus will no longer Grace Earth with further returns as the Son of Man. The Lord will hold it in contempt, at the Holy Spirit's word that the sacrifice of Christ has not been respected. Jesus Himself said "don't weep for me, weep for yourselves and your daughters" - He was aware something was in the balance, above and beyond the sacrifice He was making. The Devil is actively working against Man coming up worthy, because he wants to condemn Man, from the before the Throne of God. What the Devil doesn't realize is that the Holy Spirit has a strength in Spirit, that he does not have without God. The Holy Spirit will tolerate him, but only to a point.
And this is what must be weighed: have we repented? have we gone out and done the Work of God? Have we interceded for the fallen? (those who come to us, in terror at the Devil's wrath - let the reader note). It was for this that Jesus told the parable of the good samaritan, of the sheep and goat nations and the need to fear God, even to the severance of our own flesh. If we misuse our Salvation, there is condemnation in this also: it is not easy for the Holy Spirit to intercede with the Lord - our sins being great - if we make it hard, it will not go unpunished (I say this, as much to provoke myself to fear God, as much as anything!). There is a yoking together that must be advanced in this, that we have held doctrine rather than our own divisions - not that division will be immediately punished, but that there needs to be at least a sign that we are trying to make things better.
Learn to rest on this: whatever the Lord has committed you to in Christ, the Holy Spirit will join you in, to make it easier and lighter - as the Lord said "He was with you, and will be in you": this is a miraculous thing, do not squander the opportunity to repent (I am in prayer now). There will come a point when the yoking is easy and free flowing, but for now you have to put up with my many words - in truth, I can't wait for it to come (the yoking) and to know that we have shared the burden together. Just be aware, there is a quality to your faith, that God cherishes very very deeply.
Be at peace!
