Below is all I just took out of the book of Matthew, with regard to he following three questions...

Thought number one. Does it take faith to keep the sabbath, or the sabbath was given to Israel through the law, and not by faith ? ( What do the Pharisees show in the book of Matthew regarding this)

Number two. Is here any evidence of Jesus resting on the sabbath in this book of the Gospel ?

Consideration number three. Does Jesus call the disciples to labour with Him ( in secular work) or calls the disciples out of secular work to labour with Him ( in the work of the Lord) ?

The whole Gospel cant lie, right ? So we see Jesus teaching in the synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom to the people of Israel.

Jesus also points out ( to His disciples) to not be as the hypocrites who in the synagogues, love to stand praying to be seen of men.

Right away then, Jesus is showing how it is without faith that the people do things in the synagogues......

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

The alms they gave in the synagogues, and the prayers they did showing to each other in the synagogues, layed up treasure on earth.

Jesus taught the disciples how that treasure of earthly service gets corrupted, and how the disciples had to do unlike those in the synagogues way of service, to instead lay up treasure to God ( and not to men) as where we devote our heart is where our treasure will be.

Jesus also teaches the disciples to have faith ( unlike those of the synagogues) to no longer do as those of the synagogues, to take thought for their lives, and to also do as the Gentiles do, but to first seek God and His righteousness....

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Remember thought number two ?

All we observe is Jesus not resting on sabbath as all Israel does in the synagogues, see for a moment these other confirming verses, how Israel had Moses and the prophets, but heard them not, and were not persuaded by one rising from the dead, knowing not the Lord nor the voices of the prophets which are read to the people of Israel every sabbath day.

Acts 15 speaks of the tabernacle of David to be risen up in Christ, for the Gentiles ( Christ risen up to Heaven for us) and the Jews, the believers of Israel gave no rules of circumcision, of sabbath, of anything in the laws to Israel, but to keep from idols, and from fornication, from things strangled, and from blood. Saying how Moses is preached enough in every city from old time, and Moses ( the law) is read in the synagogues every sabbath day ( from old to the people of Israel in Judaism)

As their minds ( of Israel and in every city in the synagogues every sabbath day) are blinded until this day, and the vail ( of blindness) is untaken away in the reading of the old testament, when the vail is done away in Christ. When Moses is read ( from old time in every city in their synagogues on every sabbath day) the vail is upon their heart..

Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Acts 13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

2 Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

That was background for us.

Now we know that Jesus went into the synagogues teaching Israel, who heard Moses and not Jesus. ( heard law and not faith)

But question three comes up now. Jesus speaks to His disciples, how the laborers ( with Christ) are few, and more workers were required to do the same as Jesus.

Then we see Jesus sending forth those disciples to labour the same as Jesus, to go and to preach and to say the kingdom of haven is at hand.

Jesus confirms that the same experience Jesus had teaching Israel in their synagogues, the disciples will experience. To be scourged in their synagogues....

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 10:17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

So the answers are all told clearly, Jesus taught to Israel working as the High priest, and the disciples worked with Jesus preaching too. Both did not rest then on the sabbaths, but we see always they taught the people, precisely on all of those sabbaths.

To not deny Christ ( as the people on the sabbaths and in the synagogues were denying) and to take their cross to follow Jesus, to lose their lives to find it again, all is for the sake of Christ, the gospel and the kingdom of heaven, and when they taught in the works of God, they received the Son and then the Father, when anyone received the disciples word of faith....

Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Part 2.

Jesus never resting on the sabbath day, heals on the sabbath days, doing well on the sabbath days ( teaching, miracles, healing) as all days of the Son of man.

Jesus showed this judgement to the Gentiles ( Israel did not receive it but rested on sabbath until this day)

To not be with Jesus ( gathering as priests and preachers for the kingdom of God) is against Christ, to be against what Jesus does in the days of being anointed the Messiah, with the Holy Ghost, is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost..

Matthew 12:10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

Matthew 12:18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

The disciples are instructed unto the kingdom of heaven, and Jesus cam to His own country into their synagogue. They knew normally He was the carpenter, and now Jesus was living differently to how they had seen Him before, by His wisdom and by His works of miracles. Jesus had to leave their synagogue, as he had all those works to do, and did not many works there, because of their unbelief ( no faith but in the law of Moses, which they did not hear also)....

Matthew 13:52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Matthew 13:54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Out of the heart of man, all that is said to Israel in the law of Moses, they break by being defiled, as that unchanged heart of unbelief, keeps no laws, and therefore commits evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, and also what anyone puts in their mouth does not defile them..

Matthew 15:17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Israel was a wicked adulterous generation then, they could not discern the signs of the times, ( without that heart of faith nothing can be kept that is right)

Peter savoured what was of men ( as Israel in the synagogues did) but Jesus corrected Peter, and shows how if any man comes after Jesus they must deny themselves, take their cross and follow Christ, to lose their life for His sake to find it again. We will lose our soul if we seek to gain, and will be rewarded according to our works ( remember we see the works of Jesus and the disciples and the wrong works and resting of Israel in comparison)....

Matthew 16:2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Matthew 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Then to enter the kingdom of heaven, is not done unless they become humbled as a little child.

That was never what Moses in the law taught, it is also why Israel rejected their meek King, lowly upon a donkey....

Matthew 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Here is an example of a law keeping one of Israel.

One thing was lacked though, to have treasure in Heaven ( remember it is not upon earth and seen as they did in synagogues ?)

To through faith, go sell all you have to follow Jesus, with your cross then, to lose that life, to follow Jesus who we see in Him and in His disciples, rested not but taught and preached on those very sabbath days of Israel ( who heard not but scourged them in the synagogues)....

Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Jesus here shows why Israel would not hear, because they being first called by God expected more and hot to be made equal with the Gentiles. ( not understanding conversion is to be humbled as little children and to minister)

But the Gentiles who were last, became first ( and all of us who exalt ourselves will be last if we do not convert to be humble as a little child and be the least)......

Matthew 20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Matthew 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Here it is confirmed, the kingdom was taken from Israel, as Israel it is told right here, brought forth no fruit ( sabbath rest brought no fruit)

The fruit is not then the law that Israel had ( or why did they bring forth zero fruit ?) but the fruit is love for your neighbour ( when the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us through faith and not law)....

Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Israel was and is, under the impression that they are worshipping God, by what the law of Moses tells them.

Unfortunately, they do nothing of what that law of Moses instructs,, and Jesus pointed that out by telling that what is instructed, should be observed and done.

Jesus also revealed how the Pharisees were hypocrites, to strain at gnats, and swallow camels, to observe what does no good to others, and to ignore the love and mercy of Gd, that should have been their interest, instead of all their doings, are only for themselves.

The last thing to recognize is, any unprofitable servant is cast into outer darkness, so to lose our life quickly, to labour together with Christ, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom, and being unlike Israel on the sabbath days, is our wise choice it seems..

Matthew 23:2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Matthew 25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Sabbath was created for mankind .... not just the Jews.

Jesus rested in the tomb on the Sabbath ..... you think that was just coincidence?

He rested from His work of creation and He rested from His work of redemption.

It is finished.

Thought number one. Does it take faith to keep the sabbath, or the sabbath was given to Israel through the law, and not by faith ? ( What do the Pharisees show in the book of Matthew regarding this)

Following someone's guidance is about putting our in them to correctly guide us, so following God's instructions is acting in faith, which is why Jesus said in Matthew 23:23 that faith is one of the weightier matters of God's law, and that includes the command to keep the 7th day holy, so indeed, it does take faith to keep the 7th day holy. Likewise, in Romans 3:31, our faith does not abolish our need to obey God's law, but rather our faith upholds it, so does your faith uphold Sabbath?

Number two. Is here any evidence of Jesus resting on the sabbath in this book of the Gospel ?

In Galatians 4:4, Jesus was born under the law, so he was obligated to obey it, and he was sinless, so he never broke it, and that includes God's command to keep the 7th day holy. Likewise, in Matthew 4:17-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, and God's law is how his audience knew what sin is, which includes the command to keep the 7th day holy, so unless you think that he was a hypocrite, we can infer that he kept the 7th day holy.

Consideration number three. Does Jesus call the disciples to labour with Him ( in secular work) or calls the disciples out of secular work to labour with Him ( in the work of the Lord) ?

In Numbers 28:9-10, God commanded priests to make offerings on the Sabbath, but God had also commanded priests to rest on the Sabbath, however, it was not the case that they were forced to sin by disobeying one of the two commands no matter what they chose to do, but that the less command was never intended to be understood as preventing the greater command from being obeyed, which is why Jesus states that priests who did their duties on the Sabbath were held innocent, so there are some forms of work that were prohibited on the Sabbath while there were other forms of work that were never intended to be understood as being prohibited by the Sabbath, and this is the type of work that Jesus did and called his disciples to do.

Jesus also points out ( to His disciples) to not be as the hypocrites who in the synagogues, love to stand praying to be seen of men.

Right away then, Jesus is showing how it is without faith that the people do things in the synagogues......

The right solution to incorrectly obeying God's law is to start obeying it correctly, not to stop obeying God. In other words, the purpose that Jesus had in criticizing the Pharisees for their hypocrisy was in order to get them to repent and to call them to a fuller obedience to God's law that was free from hypocrisy. For example, in Matthew 23:23, Jesus said that tithing was something that they ought to be doing while not neglecting weightier matters of the law of justice, mercy, and faith, so he was not coming against their obedience to God's law, but was calling them to a fuller obedience to it. So the problem was not with going to synagogues itself, but with their hypocritical behavior at synagogues.

Again, the problem was not with prayer itself, but with prayer that was done for show. It would be absurd to think that the problem that Jesus had with the Pharisees was that they were doing what God commanded them to do.

The consistent message of the prophets was to call for people to repent and return to obedience to God's law, and one of the commands that they most frequently criticized the people for not keeping was the Sabbath. In John 5:46-47, Jesus said that if they believed Moses, then they would believe him because Moses wrote about him, but if they do not believe his writings, then how can they believe him? So we can't believe in Jesus without also believing in Moses, and if someone does not Moses or the prophets, then nether do they hear Jesus.

The prophecy of restoring David's fallen tents is in regard to the restoration of Israel, which includes Gentiles, so Gentiles also have the delight of getting to obey the instructions that God gave to Israel. Either the four laws listed in Acts 15:19-21 are an exhaustive list of everything that would ever be required of a mature Gentile believe, or they are not, and the moment that you try to say that there are other laws that Gentiles should follow is the moment that it can no longer be used as a list to limit which laws Gentiles should follow. There are 1,050 commands in the NT, so it that were an exhaustive list, then it would exclude over 99% of the commands in the NT, including most of what was taught by Jesus, so clearly that was not intended as an exhaustive list for mature believers, but as stated, it was a list intended to not makes things too difficult for new believers, which they excused by saying that they would continue to learn how to obey Moses by hearing him taught every Sabbath in the synagogues, which implies that Gentiles were already keeping the Sabbath holy.

The vail is done away in Christ because a relationship with him is the goal of the law (Romans 10:4), and this is what the vail was preventing them from seeing. For example, in John 5:39-40, Jesus said that they searched the Scriptures because they think that in them they will find eternal life, and they testify about him, yet they refuse to come to him that they might have life. In Matthew 19:17, Jesus said that the way to enter eternal life is by obeying God's commandments, so eternal life can be found in the Scriptures, and the Pharisees were correct to search for it there, but they needed to recognize that the goal of everything in Scriptures is to testify about how to have a relationship with Christ, and come to him for eternal life. In Matthew 7:23, Jesus said that he would tell those who are workers of lawlessness to depart from him because he never knew them, so again knowing Christ is the goal of the law, which is what the vail was preventing them from seeing, however, it is a vail that works both ways by preventing those who want to follow Christ without following God's law from seeing the same thing.

Christ's Gospel involved calling people to repent and to return to obedience to God's law, so it is contradictory to try to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom while speaking against following the law of the Kingdom. It is impossible to follow Christ by refusing to follow what he taught by word and by example.

Sin is the transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4), so to claim that Jesus never kept the Sabbath holy is to say that he sinned and deny that he is our Savior. The Sabbath does not prohibit teaching, miracles, or healing, so Jesus was not breaking the Sabbath by doing those things, and the fact that he was doing does things does not imply that he was not refraining from doing the things that are prohibited by the Sabbath.

It is contradictory to believe both that the Pharisees were correct about Jesus breaking the Sabbath by healing on it and that Jesus was correct about it being lawful to heal on the Sabbath. It is lawful to heal on the Sabbath, so those Pharisees who thought that Jesus was breaking the Sabbath by healing on it were not correct.

Every kingdom has laws that govern the conduct of its citizens and God's laws are the laws of his Kingdom, not something that are opposed to His Kingdom. In Matthew 7:21, only those who do the will of the Father will enter the Kingdom of God, and the Father has made his will known through His law (Psalms 40:8).

Israel's disobedience to the Law of Moses should be taken as an example of what we should avoid doing, not as an example for us to emulate (1 Corinthians 10:1-13).

The way to build up treasure in heaven is not by rejecting God's laws for how to do that.

The way to bear fruit is not by rejecting God's laws for how to bear fruit. Israel's disobedience to God was the problem, not their obedience. The commands to love God and our neighbor are part of the Mosaic Law, not an alternative way to bear fruit.

Israel was and is, under the impression that they are worshipping God, by what the law of Moses tells them.

Unfortunately, they do nothing of what that law of Moses instructs,, and Jesus pointed that out by telling that what is instructed, should be observed and done.

God gave the law to Moses in order to teach the Israelites how to worship Him and worshiping God is about submitting to His will. The reason why Israel was not worshiping God was being they were not doing what the Law of Moses instructs, not the other way around.

Jesus never criticized the Pharisees for obeying the Law of Moses, but he did criticize them for not obeying it (Matthew 7:6-9) or for not obeying it correctly (Matthew 23:23), and his purpose in criticizing them was to bring them to a fuller obedience to the Law of Moses, not in order to get them to stop obeying God.

The Sabbath was created for mankind .... not just the Jews.

Jesus rested in the tomb on the Sabbath ..... you think that was just coincidence?

He rested from His work of creation and He rested from His work of redemption.

It is finished.

Yes the sabbath was made for man, and man was not made for sabbath.

Jesus rested from the work of redemption.

Before this, Jesus laboured to give redemption to us.

We labour to be accepted of Him, and the rest is after the labour that we saw Jesus fulfilled.

Yes but the law is not of faith, but the one who does them lived in them ( and after dies in the law of sin and death.

The law is faith, when it is the law of faith, which is the law of faith that Christ brought..

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Sin is what is not of faith, Jesus spoke to them so they now had no cloke for sin, as before it ( in the law they had received) they did not know what sin was and until Christ preached the faith to them and they rejected Him and it, they had defense for ignorance of not knowing what sin was..

John 15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Sin is the transgression of the law ( of Christ, transgressing faith now it was told to all the world) and the ones who transgress His doctrine sin...

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Jesus taught, healed, did miracles all on sabbath, and kept the law of faith, as it was faithful to do the works of God that the Son of God came to do.

What the question for us is, is we know Jesus never rested on sabbath, you have shown that Jesus kept law by teaching, miracles, and healing, by doing well on sabbath, now we needed to know do we do as Jesus, or not ?

The disciples of Jesus also taught sabbath, healed, did miracles, all on sabbath, no example of them RESTING ?

Apostle Paul, taught on sabbath, and as we know He follows all example of Jesus, we know he would have healed, and done miracles on sabbath, done well on sabbath as any other day and not rested.

But the Jews would not hear, and judged themselves unworthy of eternal life, Paul had to dispute with the Jews, who opposed themselves and blasphemed and their blood was upon their own heads..

Acts 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Acts 17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.
6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean; from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

The commandment and the law before had to be disannulled ( we were divorced from it) now we would be betrothed to God in faith ( faithfulness) and become dead to the law to be married to another..

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Hosea 2:20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.

Hebrews 7:18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Now Christ is the High priest, and also came with the priesthood for us all, as the High priest became us, to be holy, undefiled, separate from sinners and to be made higher than the heavens, to be the holy and royal priesthood...

Hebrews 7:23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Then we know what we are all called to, to be of the priesthood, to preach, to leave our secular life, and to do as Jesus and all Apostles did, and told us to follow their example ONLY..

Philippians 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Yes the sabbath was made for man, and man was not made for sabbath.

Jesus rested from the work of redemption.

Before this, Jesus laboured to give redemption to us.

We labour to be accepted of Him, and the rest is after the labour that we saw Jesus fulfilled.

Saying that the Sabbath was made for man and man was not made for the Sabbath is that that it is a gift that God gave to man for our own good and not for our detriment, the Sabbath was never intended to be understood as bringing about situations that are to our determinant, such as preventing someone from being healed. Furthermore, we should not spurn the precious gift that God has given us for our own good.

The text does not state that Jesus rested from the work of redemption. In Matthew 11:28-30 and Jeremiah 6:16-19, God's law is described as being the good way where we will find rest for our souls, so this rest comes from having faith in God to guide us in how to righteously live through His law, not from taking a break from following God's guidance.

Yes but the law is not of faith, but the one who does them lived in them ( and after dies in the law of sin and death.

The law is faith, when it is the law of faith, which is the law of faith that Christ brought..

While Paul spoke about a law that is not of faith (Galatians 3:10), he also spoke about a law that our faith upholds (Romans 3:31), so the key to correctly understanding Paul is recognizing that he spoke about multiple different categories of law other than the Law of God. For example, in Romans 3:27, he contrasted a law of works with the law of faith, so works of the law are of works, while our faith upholds the Law of God, so it is of faith. Likewise, in Romans 7:25-8:2, Paul contrasted the Law of God with the law of sin and contrasted the Law of the Spirit with the law of sin and death, so he equated the Law of God with the Law of the Spirit. After all, the Spirit is God and the Law of God was given by God. In regard to Leviticus 18:5, the only way to attain life by obeying the Law of God is if it is of faith, which is why the righteous shall live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4) and the righteous are those on whose heart is the Law of God (Isaiah 51:7). Christ spent his ministry setting a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to the Law of God and calling people to repent from our disobedience to it, so he taught obedience to it both by word and by example, and that is the law of faith that he brought.

Sin is what is not of faith, Jesus spoke to them so they now had no cloke for sin, as before it ( in the law they had received) they did not know what sin was and until Christ preached the faith to them and they rejected Him and it, they had defense for ignorance of not knowing what sin was..

Christ said that faith is one of the weightier matters of the Law of God (Matthew 23:23), so whatever is in transgression of it is not of faith, whatever is not if faith is sin, and sin is the transgression of God's law (1 John 3:4)

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Christ spent his ministry teaching obedience to the Law of God by word and by example, so that is the doctrine of Christ. God's laws teach us about the nature of who He is, such as with His righteous laws teaching us about His righteousness, and also teach us about the nature of the Son because the Son is the exact expression of God's nature (Hebrews 1:3). When we do what is righteous in obedience to God's law, we are also growing in a relationship with Christ by gaining experiential knowledge of the nature of who he is, which is why those who say that they know Christ, but don't obey his commands are liars, and those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked (1 John 2:4-6). This is also why those who do not abide in the doctrine of Christ have not God, while those who abide in the doctrine of Christ have both the Father and the Son.

Again, it has always been lawful to teach, heal, and do miracles on the Sabbath. Jesus was sinless, so he always rested on the Sabbath, while to say that he never rested on it is to say that he sinned and to deny that he is our Savior. Jesus set an example for us of how to walk in obedience to the Law of God, including always keeping the Sabbath holy, and as his followers we are told to follow his example (1 Peter 2:21-22). The disciples had grow up keeping the Sabbath holy and had never known a time in their life when the Sabbath was not the focus of their week. Paul had every appearance of continuing to keep the 7th day holy in obedience to God, so I see no reason to think that he was super secretly sinning by refusing to rest on on the Sabbath. In Acts 17:11, the Bereans tested everything that Paul said against OT Scriptures to see if what he said was true, so Paul should not be interpreted as teaching by word or by example things that the Bereans would have flat out rejected. In Deuteronomy 4:2, it is a sin to add to or subtract from the Law of God, and in Deuteronomy 13:4-5, the way that God instructed His people to determine that someone was a false prophet who was not speaking for Him was if they taught against obeying His law, so if either Jesus or Paul had been teaching against resting on the Sabbath, then those who rejected what they taught would be acting in accordance with what God has instructed them to do, however, the reality is that they never did that.

Did Jesus rest sabbath, did the disciples of Jesus rest sabbath ?

Did Jesus heal on sabbath ( non life threatening healing) see my new thread on what Judaism and SDA's think about this.

Yes, Jesus said that it was lawful to heal on the Sabbath, so he was not violating the same by doing that, and yes, the disciples rested on the Sabbath.

Sabbath is rest from secular life and labour.

We are called out of secular life..

Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

Philippians 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Rest is the main point of sabbath.

You cannot rest when you are High priest, or when you are in a priesthood, a minister of the new testament.

Psalm 132:9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

Psalm 132:16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

2 Corinthians 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

We can only gather with Jesus, or we are against Him. Doing good is in faith, to Christ, there is no other good, as what is not of faith is sin...

Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
.

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

A persons opinion cannot be right, unless it agrees with Jesus ( words and works) and Jesus shows the disciples and all followers, to do the same as Him. ( working as the Father works)

I wonder what scriptures show the disciples of Jesus, resting sabbath day.

We see by EXAMPLE, Jesus showing to Israel how doing good sabbath day, was by all Jesus did and not by anything Judaism was doing.

We see to have the faith of Christ on sabbath, was to do good, as that is sanctity ( Christ sanctifying us once and for all)

Keeping a sabbath rested, was not doing good ( for another) it was doing good only for self.

God had made sabbath to be sanctified, and now God made us through Christ, sanctified every day in faith.

To not do good is sin, to not do as Jesus on sabbath is sin. The disciples rested from what ? They cant rest from secular work, they left all of that.

They cant rest from speaking their own words, they were taught the words of God now, as ministers of the new testament.

They could not seek their own pleasure, as loosing your life for the gospels sake ( for the sake of Christ) means you hate your life and have no pleasure any more.

The words are clear for sabbath, Israel in the law could not keep these words below..

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

No more own pleasure on any day:

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Romans 15:We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

Not speaking our own words on any day:

John 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

1 Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

The people of Israel did speak their own words still in sabbath, did do their own pleasure on sabbath ( during feasts)...

Isaiah 58:3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

God suffered all nations in the past, all walked in their own ways ( that is because it was without faith in Jesus Christ and the Gospel of Christ)...

Acts 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.

So now those of faith in Christ alone, do not speak their own words, but speak the oracles of God if thy speak.

They do not do their own pleasure any more, not for the sabbath, but always as Jesus, doing instead what pleases the Father, if it is of faith, it has to be the same faith every day.

They do not do their own ways now, not just sabbath, but never, as God commanded all men everywhere to REPENT, from their own ways..

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
