I am thinking most people place Armageddon after the second coming.
Revelation 16:16-21 describes the Battle of Armageddon. It happens at or just before Jesus Returns. The Lord's wrath is over by the time He comes to gather His own and to reign on earth for the next thousand years. Matthew 24:29-31, Revelation 15:1

As for an order of events, all we really need to know at this point in time, is that the Lord will take action when an Islamic confederation goes to attack Israel. Psalms 83, Micah 4:11-12
Iran will attempt to fire nuke missiles, but they will recoil upon themselves. Psalms 7:12-16, Joel 3:4, and Jeremiah 49:35-37
THEN, the Lord will give understanding to His faithful people and He will mightily bless those who stood firm during that Day. Psalms 118:24-29, Ezekiel 34:11-16, Romans 9:24-26

Very helpful.
I have seen you around CF before. Just wanted to say, your avatar looks very much like someone I know. I don't know if you have relatives over here in Oz but your picture is the spitting imagine of a farmer I know.

Coming here from the Creation & Theistic Evolution board. At times creation touches on end times (new heavens new world) I am simply of the belief that what will happen will happen so please don't shoot me, I am not up to arguing in here.

1> What I would like is to know is first of all 'your label' For example I see labels like 'post-tribulation' and 'Millennialism' etc and I am not even going to pretend to know what they all are.

2>A simple (if possible) run down of events in the order you believe they will happen in with scripture showing why you believe it.

3> If you have a stance on creation I would like to know that as well.

Nothing too long and convoluted please or you will lose me. I say again this is not my area. God has put my heart on creation, original sin and death not what order events come at the end but I am interested in gaining some more basic knowledge on it. The last time I did a study on end times was 30 years ago so rusty is an understatement.

If possible please don't argue -I know that might be asking the sun not to shine as just peeking in I see this area has as many varieties of belief as the creation boards.

Thank you in advance for anyone who can answer my 3 points.
PS. I am not promising to believe anyone of you but give it your best shot.

Hi OZ sis,

1. Pre-trib.
2. See diagram.

Hi coffee4u,

#1) My label would be Partial Preterist - sort of.

#2) The order of events in scripture: I see all of fallen mankind's history divided into 7 millennial ages for a total of 7,000 years which ends with the final third coming of Christ and the third resurrection event. The basic, overriding theme that characterized each of these 7 millennial ages matches God's creative acts on each of the 7 literal 24-hour days of creation week.

#3 I have a young-earth creation view.

We are currently approaching the end of the 6th millennium of human history on this planet. The Revelation 20 millennium was exactly in the center of the total of 7,000 years. That 4th, Revelation 20 millennium lasted from AD 968-967 BC until AD 33 - the era of a physical temple worship system, which looked forward to Christ becoming the "chief cornerstone" of the spiritual temple made without hands at the "First resurrection" in AD 33.

Satan was loosed for a "short time" after AD 33, until he and all his angels and every unclean spirit was imprisoned in the city of Jerusalem from AD 66 until AD 70, when Christ's second coming and the second resurrection took place.

The "beginning of sorrows" in all the world leading up to the "Great Tribulation"
The Great Tribulation in Israel from AD 66-70
Armageddon and Gog's battle
The death of the Scarlet Beast and the False prophet in Jerusalem's Lake of Fire
The eradication of the entire Satanic realm in the same Jerusalem location
The revelation of the New Jerusalem with the New Heavens and New Earth
All the revealed visions of the near future given in John's prophecies
The second coming of Christ to the Mount of Olives with the "rapture" of ONLY resurrected saints

All these events listed above had taken place by the close of AD 70. This is all portrayed by the "rock" striking the feet of Daniel's statue, when it all was shattered together, and turned into dust in the wind.

Since AD 70, the "rock" of Christ's kingdom has been steadily growing in size, until it will eventually "fill the earth". We are currently living out whatever the 7 thunders in Revelation 10:4 uttered in John's hearing, but which he sealed up for times later on, after the AD 70 events predicted in Revelation had been fulfilled. We currently are waiting for the end of the 7th millennium in the distant future, with its final third resurrection event and the final judgment when this earth will be purged of all remaining human evil forever. God always planned for this planet to be inhabited by humanity.

Scriptures and historical record have not been included, for brevity's sake, but can be supplied for each point made.

I really don't fit into any of the "isms."

2>A simple (if possible) run down of events in the order you believe they will happen in with scripture showing why you believe it.

Are you asking about a complete run down of everything between now and the end of the world? That would be a very long post, probably a book. Or, are you asking what comes next in prophecy? I'll answer the latter.

Matthew 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. 15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Matthew 17:11 Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.

John is Elijah who is to come and will restore all things. I am confident he will straighten out all the confusion regarding Bible prophecy and the end times. John/Elijah coming will be a shock to the church and the world, which will make the following verse make sense.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

3> If you have a stance on creation I would like to know that as well.

Elohim (plural) created the heavens and the earth in six literal 24 hour type days in the spring of 3855 BC, as I calculate it.

I don't label my approach to the topic of how I read Apocalytpic Literature in the Bible (or outside of the Bible). As a philosopher and hermeneutically minded person, what I do is explore and consider as many of the various views of Biblical Eschatology as I can. At the current time, I loosely entertain a position that more or less amalgamates Preterist/Pre-millennial/Historicist aspects of biblical prophecy.

2>A simple (if possible) run down of events in the order you believe they will happen in with scripture showing why you believe it.
As far as biblical prophecy goes, I think we're being told that Empires and Kingdoms come and go, and in the processes of time they become gradually more antagonistic to the Christian Faith, but God and His Kingdom perservere and Last.

Beyond that I can't say more since I think the Book of Revelation is expressed with echoes of Jewish prophetic metaphor and symbolism and remain somewhat obscured to us.

3> If you have a stance on creation I would like to know that as well.
I lean in the general direction of thinking that I am justified to subscribe as I do to the Theory of Evolution, but I do so loosely and not without critical measures. And as with biblical prophecy, I remain open to exploring various views on Origins of Life and I survey various interpretations of both Biological History and the literary nature of the book of Genesis.

Those are my quick (short) answers.
